Antique Stunning Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Wilkinson, Gorham, Bigelow & Kennard. This is a Stunning Early Slag Glass Table Lamp with bent glass corners. I do not see a makers name but it is very well made and I do think it is one of the good early makers. The shade has great old glass there are a few lines and there are many factory deep dark swirl lines but those are factory. I put arrows to the issues I see they are there but they really don’t take away from the beauty of this very old shade. I also did not remove the bottom plate they are sometimes signed behind the bottom plates on the foot. It is a single early Union paddle socket lamp with a 3 arm harp. The base has it’s original finish some small areas of finish loss but it is quite old!! I’m guessing the age on this lamp is 1930 but could possibly be earlier. It stands 20″ the shade is about 7 3/4″ tall 16 1/2″ wide with a 3 3/8″ top opening weight of lamp is 11.2.5 pounds. The lamp was rewired and to me it looks like they did so in the late 1950 or early 60s by the look of the cord. It has a few issues but I honestly do not believe you will be disappointed it is a wonderful old lamp! Thank you for your interest! In the case of a Holiday it may take a bit longer!!! But don’t expect to find anything remotely Victorian!! So please try to be somewhat kind because sadly it’s really easy to hurt us with those star ratings!! I Do Also Except E-Check!!! Large Mission Style Arts & Crafts Green Slag Glass Panel Hanging Lamp Must See
A large Green Slag Glass Hanging light fixture. In the Mission, Arts & Crafts Style. Probably, early to mid 20th Century. The Shade is comprised of real wood & Slag glass. This is a large, impressive, Antique or Vintage Slag Glass Panel Lamp. This fixture measures about 22″ square and is 15″ tall to the top of the hook. It has 10 feet of chain and 13 ft. Of power cord with a two prong 110v plug on the end. Made of green slag glass panels with a wooden frame. PLEASE NOTE: One panel has a glued hairline crack that is very hard to see even when lighted. The repair is virtually seamless and well done. A close up picture of this single panel is included. BUT, if you have any issues. Questions are always welcome. Antique Vintage Arts & Crafts Handel Leaded Slag Glass Overlay Panel Lamp NR
Here’s a great 2-tone Handel overly slag glass panel lamp. Fantastic brickwork and loop design done with green/yellow/white glass in the upper panels and orange/red in the apron. Glass is free of cracks or chips and all of the metal filigree is present and accounted for. The shade is 18″ in diameter and the lamp stands 23 1/3″ tall. The shade is signed in the ring as shown and the base is prominently stamped HANDEL on the underside (also as shown). Finish is brass wash and both shade and base match perfectly….. This was not a marriage as many out there are. The base has its original long Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style gold cloth braided cord and a nice looking old plug and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a very nice example of Handel’s overlay work. Antique Leaded Stained Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Unique Handel Lamp Tiffany Era
Most of these Handel/Unique lamps that I have seen out there have periwinkle designs…… This one is quite different with a band of tulips! Great lamp with lots of color and a super cool design. 16″ diameter shade, 24″ tall. I see a few small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. The trumpet style base has a beautiful frogskin-like finish that matches the green in the shade just perfectly. It has its original long Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking old plug and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice one, folks, so don’t let it get by. 1910′s Heavy Large Antique Floor Lamp with Slag Glass Wood & Metal -STUNNING
We have a huge heavy antique slag glass, baluster FLOOR LAMP for sale. This is a very heavy ornate lamp and the post is made of a combination of metal (maybe brass) and wood in a leaf and scroll pattern. The shade is 16 1/4″ square and measures 20″ from the top of the finial to the bottom of the beads. The entire lamp stands just short of 7 feet tall. The base bottom measures 15 1/4″ across and the fattest part of the post is a little over 7″ across. It has a double pull chain light and still sports its original wiring. The shade is made of metal with tabs for holding the glass inserts in. It had slag glass inserts, but l removed them as a couple of the pieces were broken and all of the slag glass pieces – even the broken ones – come with it. I tried to make it match my livingroom decor which is in a French theme, so l had the local glass cutters copy and cut all 12 pieces in plexiglass so that l could cover the plexiglass with fabric to match my room. I glued on the fabric and gloss sealed so it can be cleaned. There was long fringe hanging from the shade, but l removed it and it was so rotten that l threw it away. I bought bead trim and glued it on the inside edge. I think it came out beautiful!! To me it is a lot prettier to use this way, but collectors may want to repair the two broken pieces of slag glass and use them – you get both the plexiglass and the slag glass so it is your choice. And just let it ride to see what happens. I will help anyway l can. This is a family heirloom and l hate to part with it, but it just doesn’t fit my decor. ADDED THIS ON ——– January 6, 2017 ——- If you would like to see similar lampshades like the one on this lamp, google “vintage mission floor lamps” or “vintage craftsman floor lamps” – grandma always called it a slag lamp, but only the glass can be slag and as for the post, l have not seen one like it and l have been trying to find one for years, with hours spent on the net searching. Antique Puffy Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Victorian Art Nouveau
This is a beautiful antique slag glass lamp. Caramel “puffy” glass on the shade as well as on the base. The lamp measures 21 1/2″ tall x 18″ wide. Shade has Art Nouveau floral swags and cartouches. The base has two handles and a metal design over the slag glass top and bottom on both sides of the lamp. Two original sockets with pull chains. Lights top, bottom, and top with bottom. Glass is all original. Not signed, so I don’t know who the maker was. Stunning large slag glass lamp. Condition: The lamp appears to be all original except for the wiring and the on/off switch on one side of the base. The cap at the top has a thin chip off the edge, which you can see in the photo taken of the top of the lamp. This is obviously not very noticeable because it’s on the very top of the lamp, but the shade may appear to be just very slightly higher on one side than the other. The base has some loss to the metal design, situated over the glass, at the top, where it appears some of it was cut off, although it looks the same on both sides. This is not something you notice unless you examine the lamp very closely. And there is some loss to the metal design over the glass, on one side, on the bottom of the base (shown). If you were to turn that side of the lamp to the wall, you wouldn’t know there was any loss…. Well, except for the fact that I just told you. The shade appears to be in very good condition. I don’t see any loss and the glass is all intact with no cracks. Thanks for stopping by. THIS IS A STUNNING ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS INVERTED DOME PENDANT LIGHT. THIS PIECE IS FROM THE TURN OF THE 20TH CENTURY, AND IT HAS FANTASTIC AGE TO IT.
