Antique Victorian Gothic Slag Glass Hanging Hallway Lamp-Metal Scroll Work
Hello, you are viewing my sale for an Antique Victorian Gothic Slag Glass Hanging Hallway Lamp with Intricate Scroll Work throughout the metal shade. This lamp is in perfect working condition. It weighs 3.4 pounds and measures 6 and 1/2″ tall (shade only) by 10″ tall with the lightbulb socket by 4 and 1/2 across at the bottom of the shade opening. This is a 6 side light fixture. I believe that the lightbulb socket assembly originally did not go with the shade and was added on at a later date. The shade may have originally gone to a different lamp or fixture. The light bulb assembly sits slightly loose in the shade. There is a small screw holding the lightbulb socket assembly. I have shown this in my photographs. The details throughout the scroll work are stunning. A magnet will only stick to the top of the shade and not the scroll work. There are no breaks or repairs present. Antique Slag Glass Electric Lamp Shade Signed Unknown Base Edwardian Style Work
The shade has 6 caramel slag glass panels. The diameter of the shade is 16 inches and a height of 5 inches. The lamp base stands 20 inches tall the base is 8 inches in diameter. The base is marked , I don`t know the mark, it is a Orb with appears to be back to back B`s. I couldn`t find the maker associated with the mark, but did find an identical lamp shade , base and mark on the internet, they were wanting to know who the maker was also. Nobody seemed to know who the maker was. The lamp base has been rewired part way, the lamp works, no broken pieces. The metal is nonmagnetic, the base appears to be cast brass. The base has alternating panels of tulips and ruffles. The 2 light sockets have pull chains. There does appear to be any repairs or damage to the lamp. The metal frame of the shade is a pattern of garlands and ribbons. The top finial of the lamp does come off. 1910 Art Nouveau Caramel Slag Glass Shade & Open Work Metal Overlay Table Lamp
This listing is for a circa 1910 Art Nouveau handsome slag glass metal overlay table lamp. The lamp measures 21 1/2 inches or 54.6cm high to the top of the shade and, the shade is 13 3/4 inches or 35cm wide. The shade consists of 6 large panels and 6 small rectangular panels above it, and each panel consists of a caramel color glass. All the glass is held in place by clips on the inside. The outside of the shade has a beautiful metal overlay. The overlay is ornate and beautiful with its open work floral wreaths and connecting swags and bows. The shade framework is unusually heavy and not like the normal thin overlay on some of these shades. The base is round with 3 open work Art Nouveau stylized arches and a scrolling line design. The lamp has a single pull chain socket. The lamp is in very good condition with only some minor wear to the original gilt patina. There is also one of the smaller panels of glass has a crack right in the center but has been repaired and one tip of the fancy metal frame is missing. This is along the top part of the shade decoration. Please see the many photos for more on the look and condition as they are an important part of the description. A very handsome lamp. This listing is for a circa 1910 handsome slag glass metal overlay table lamp. The lamp measures 23 1/4 inches or 59cm high to the top of the finial and, the shade is 16 1/2 inches or 42cm in diameter. The shade consists of 8 panels. Each panel consists of a caramel color glass which is slightly curved. All the glass is held in place by clips on the inside. The outside of the shade has a beautiful metal overlay. The overlay is ornate and beautiful with its open work floral and lattice design. The base is round with a slightly scalloped edge and has an undulating standard with diamond pattern.
