Antique B & H 3 socket slag glass lamp w/ 6 panel reverse painted signed shade. The lamp stands 21 1/2″ Bradley and Hubbard slag Glass Lamp with a 7 1/2″ base c to c in original near mint condition, no dents or cracks. The lamp has three original Hubbell sockets with 8 original acorn pull chains. The shade is a six panel reverse painted in scenes of tress, woods, mountains and lakes and is 16 in diameter. Elevated molded glass design around edge of shade. It looks like it is signed 4/10-12 0041, I assume this to be a date of April 10, 1912 with the issue number. Recently rewired and in working order. Early 20th C Antique Signed Rainaud Slag Glass Panel Lamp Japanese Garden Scene

With our highest compliments and honor we’re proud to offer for sale this magnificent early 20th century signed Rainaud 6 panel slag glass lamp with fire gilt floral Art Nouveau base and Japanese garden scene shade. Rainaud lamps were made in Meriden Connecticut, alongside others such as Handel, Bradley & Hubbard, and Miller. The United states wasn’t fully electrified until the 1930′s. Superseding this time electric lamps & lighting were reserved for the wealthier families. Lamp makers recognized this and began making lesser toned down versions everyday people could afford. This is the reason why every Handel isn’t worth 5k. This lamp is much nicer than any Rainaud we’ve seen on the market. Once the company moved towards more mass produced lamps they started branding them “RAINAUD”. This lamp is signed under the base with a stylized “R” we believe to be one of his earliest marks. The base is fire gilt in a process that affixes a small amount of gold to the metal giving it it’s luster. The lamp has an overall faux bamboo ornamentation with lilly flower and exotic vegetation. The shade depicts a tranquil Japanese garden scene with cranes, arbor, and a footbridge over water. Caramel or amber glass are the most frequently used shade in lamp making. Miller put it simply, It’s the easiest on the eye and best for reading. The 6 caramel slag glass panels make up the sky with 6 lovely aquamarine sunset panels for the water. There’s an extensive use of embossed metals & filigree to create a wonderful Japanese garden scene. The lamp is 25″ tall with a diameter of 17.5″ at the shade. This petite lamp is in very nice condition with very light metal wear. I think it might be an ormulu, because it’s a bright gold color, but I couldn’t say with certainty. The pretty rose colored slag glass shade is in good condition also, no chips, cracks or any other damage that I could see. It’s shows Handel, numbered and signed OBrass & Black. Rare Antique Working Signed “Handel” Slag Glass Art Nouveau Electric Table Lamp, made in the USA by the Handel Lamp Company Meriden, Connecticut USA. The base is bronze with a nice patina. It is signed “Handel”, as pictured. The ornate filigree glass shade has 4 curved slag glass large upper panels with hues of gray, blue, purple, and brown, and 4 rectangular carmel colored lower slag glass panels in a metal filigree overlay. The lamp measures approx. 20″ tall with a 5 3/4″ wide base. The Shade has a 11″ x 11″ base diameter, with a height of approx. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or damage, Looks Great!!! The Lamp is in excellent working condition. The electrical sockets are original, but the insulators have been replaced with new ones, and the lamp has been rewired with a new cloth covered cord. The lamp is clean, complete, and ready for use right out of the box. MASSIVE signed Handel Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is one of the largest and most colorful Handel lamps I have ever owned. 24″ diameter shade; 28 1/2″ tall! It has a beautiful fruit motif against a deep blue/green apron background and a wonderful. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and will only note that there are a few small cracks here and there throughout the shade…. There is no replaced glass and the shade lights up amazingly. The shade is signed HANDEL as shown. The fluted trumpet style Handel base has its original brown finish and Hubbell sockets with acorn pull chains and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
