What a cool design and nice look. Its a midsized lamp and as such more multi purpose. The base measures 22.5 inches tall and has no damage or issues. Its got its original patina throughout and its in very nice condition. It’s been recently rewired with period and old style, and correct cloth cord. The sockets updated as well. The shade measures 16.5 inches wide. The shade in very nice overall condition and has no glass breaks in the upper light caramel panels or in the blue border panels. The filligree all in place and also without losses. The shade not out of round at all and i see no breaks in the metalware. All in all a very nice period lamp and this lamp without reserve. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. I have for sale this very nice twice signed handel leaded geometric lamp. Twice signed means both shade and base being properly signed. This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The base measures 21 inches tall and the shade is 14 inches wide. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has its original two socket cluster with hubbell sockets and acorn pulls and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old plug. The patina worn a little bit on the lower portion of the base as would be expected for a 100 year old base. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 3-5, here or there as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks as handel is well known for with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. I only used 11 watt bulbs to give you some idea how good the glass lights up. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. Nice old Handel lamp with a slag glass leaded shade. The patina is sort of a greenish color with some wear showing a copper color on parts of one side. My thought is the original. Patinas on these were brown but maybe they used other patinas, anyway a lot of it is gone and need to be repatinated. The shade appears to be in good vintage condition, I do see a very tiny hairline (see it just below the pen tip) but I don’t see it on the outside. It works and not signed but I know it is Handel by the shape and design from others I have seen. It is a heavy lamp and I assume it is bronze. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. International Buyers Please Note. Up for sale here folks is a nice Mission Oak lamp from the early 1900′s. It has a slag glass top and was originally an oil lamp. The electric conversion works good, this is a very quality and original lamp. See pictures it truly is a beauty. No chips in any of the glass pieces and all of the wood is in great condition with no splinters or anything chipped off. The pictures don’t do this piece justice when it’s lit. This thing is sturdy. However there are very few scuffs on the lamp. Nothing noticeable until closely examined. Looks like the metal is aged slightly. One small dent in the metal no bigger in diameter than a dime. Metal ballast holding light and chimney in place jiggles. 25 inches from base to the top of the clear glass chimney. The bottom of the wooden base itself is 6.5″ x 6.5″ square. The 4 arms measure 10 on each side at the base of the shade. The shade itself measures 14″ x 14″ and the shade is 6.5 high. The Chimney protrudes 2.25 out of the shade. It has a cord to plug in that is 3 feet 3 inches long from the base of the lamp. This is a great looking piece of history to use in your home. It is a fully functional piece of art history.
