Vintage 1920s Slag Glass Lamp in beautiful shape cast base marked CC CO and 6
This lamp has a cast iron base and the shade appears to be cast iron as well. I have attempted to show any flaws of which there are few, most notably on the picture of the base. There does not appear to be any repairs made on it and it seems that someone along the way rewired it with period correct cloth wire to maintain it’s integrity. “There is a lot of confusion about the mark “C C Co. That appears on this lamp and others. I researched it and found that this was a distributor mark. They distributed Miller, B & H, and other manufacturers lamps for a short time. This item measures 21 inches tall by 7 inches at the base and the shade is 8 inches tall by 12 inches at the base. It weighs 7 pounds and 15 ounces without extremely careful packaging. Antique Chicago Lamp Base for slag/leaded glass marked 1907 Handel Era. This is a Chicago made lamp that is all original from the beautiful heart embossed base to the finial. This lamp is dated 1907 which corresponds completely to the Levelier snub nosed sockets that were signed in script not stamped. These sockets were discontinued around approx. 1910 which corresponds to it being a complete original piece. The lamp stands approx. 22″ tall with a 7″ base. In my opinion an absolutely mint piece. The shade ring holder looks to be about 3 1/2 (Look at the pictures). I will be listing some top end lamps that I have available. The text is just a guide. Marked Bradley and Hubbard 21 1/2 6 Panel Slag Glass Arts and Crafts Lamp. We are pleased to offer for sale this Bradley and Hubbard Arts and Crafts slag glass table lamp. This lamp is a great size, not too big and not too small. It is 21 1/2″ tall to the top of the finial, the shade is 16″ in diameter and the lamp has an 8 base. The shade has 6 caramel and cream slag glass panels with lovely floral fretwork, the lamp has double pull chain sockets. The lamp is marked with the Bradley & Hubbard name in 3 places, on the bottom of the base, on the shade and on the piece just above the sockets. The lamp has a new cord and sockets. The glass panels are in excellent condition, the lamp is in great working and cosmetic condition other than slight wear to the base as you can see in the photos. See my other listings. Poul Henningsen 16 Panel Emerald Green & Butterscotch Slag Glass Lamp Marked
For your consideration is this amazing colors Poul Henningsen slag glass table lamp. DESIGNER MARKED 16 TIMES. ONE ON EACH PANEL SECTION. Poul Henningsen (9 September 1894 31 January 1967) was a Danish author, critic, architect, and designer, who was one of the leading figures of the cultural life of Denmark. Between the World Wars. In Denmark, he often is referred to, simply, as PH. His novel designs are featured in many museums. International interest in his work was revived during the 1960s. Other notable designs by him include the PH Grand Piano. Examples of which are included in several prominent twentieth-century design collections, including that of the Metropolitan Museum. In New York City. He also designed Glassalen for Tivoli Gardens. A rare estate find in this 16 panel lamp shade which is a very ornately designed bronzed metal with 8 pyramid cut panels in butterscotch and cream colors and below each of these panels is the most amazing emerald green rectangle panel. Each panel is set in a trellis patterned section which is marked P H. IT IS MARKED 16 TIMES. The glass and shade are in outstanding condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are no damages to the metal casing. The lamp is in good working condition and has a very pretty floral brown metal finish. I’m not quite sure of the flower pattern. It appears at some point the wiring may have been replaced. The lamp does work perfectly. Never saw a red and black on/ off switch before. IT DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL MATCHING EMERALD GREEN ROUND FINIAL AND IS IN GREAT CONDITION. I replaced the lamp hasp as the original weld that secures the shade has a broken weld. I will send the original one with the lamp in case you want it. The lamp is not marked that is visible but I have not removed the protective plate on the bottom. Measurement are as follows ” TOTAL LAMP HEIGHT WITH SHADE- 25″ LAMP HEIGHT WITHOUT SHADE OR ELECTRIC PARTS – 14 1/2″ H X 9″ AT BASE. SHADE MEASURES: 17 1/2″ W X 8 1/4″ H.
