Extremely RARE Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Peacock FLOOR Lamp Base
This is an EXTREMELY RARE, 100% original and authentic, Handel peacock floor lamp base. I have only ever owned one of these before…. They are super nice and very, vary rare. This is the FLOOR LAMP version. Large and impressive, this base stands 61″ tall and the bottom is 12 1/2″ in diameter. The base is cast bronze (not pot metal) and is in excellent, original condition with its original finish, no dents or dings, and is equipped with a great 4-socket long Hubbell cluster with original interiors and acorn pulls. This is as good as it gets in one of these, and there aren’t many out there (at least not guaranteed ORIGINAL ones). It does not appeared to be signed anywhere that I can see, but each peacock feather is stamped on the bottom with the number 2860. Large Handel Slag Glass Lamp with Extremely Ornate Filigree and Multicolored
Large Handel Slag Glass Lamp with extremely ornate filigree, multi colored glass. This lamp base is a bronzed patina in perfect condition. No scratches, dents, no rust as you can see in the pictures. It is a fully original base, three light with original pull chain, sockets and finial. The lamp shade is a spectacular multi-colored glass with an extreme amount of elaborate filigree which makes it extremely heavy, which we believe is a non signed Handel. As you can see, the top and side panels have a multitude of colors including yellows, greens, reds and blues. A truly spectacular piece which is an unusual find. The scalloped edges are well defined and very unusual in its design. They do not come around very often at this level. One of the lower edge glass is missing the clips, glued. This cannot be seen from the outside. Remember this shade was made one hundred years ago when they cut glass by hand. Small nick in one piece as shown which is inconsequential. The lamp is a tall 24 1/2 inches and 17 fro corner to corner with a hefty ornate 7 1/2′base. The lamp has been rewired and ready to enjoy. Nostalgic Lighting Policies READ. Extremely Rare Antique 12 panel early 1900s Slag glass scenic copper lamp shade
Antique 12 Panel Slag Glass And Metal Lamp Shade In the Way of Empire Style Research shows shade made in the 1920′s 6 copper panels each panel divided into 2 for each panel, making it a total of 12 pieces of slag glass held in place by metal clips soldered to the metal frame overlay. At their widest point each measures 8.5. 8″ tall, 10″ when measured from top of cap to bottom of shade. Slag glass is caramel in color with striatians of dark tan and dark beige. 2 pieces of slag glass broken but pieces are included. This Hexagon shade has an Overlay/Frame of a Scenic outdoor landscape. Each vertical Metal border of the framework has beaded detail. Sale is for lamp shade only.
