Vtg MCM Retro 1960s/70s Multicolored Slag Glass Hanging Swag Light/Lamp Fixture. Fabulous mid century retro hanging swag light. The light is all slag and translucent colored heavy glass. The metal webbing holding each panel of glass is in good condition with slight aging. Glass panels are all in great condition, no cracks etc. Some slight patina/spotting on the top chrome cap from age. The light has been completely updated with a new cord , swag chain , roller on/off switch and socket ready for safe use for another 6 decades. Immediate hanging and updated safe use right out of the packing. This light is larger measuring 13 1/2″ inches in diameter x 10″ inches tall, with a 12′foot swagging chain. The look of this light is mid century retro magnificence! 1960s design that still turning heads. Todays box store lighting cant even compare in style or quality. Thank you for looking! Description- Early 1900′s original 16 panel multicolored slag glass lamp unsigned. 23 inches tall, shade is 17 1/2″ wide and 8″ tall. Original cord has been partially changed bottom half is new top half is old. A few cracks in the solder on the corners of shade but it still holds its form well, top fitter piece has been repaired see pictures. About Indiana Treasure Hunt. Huge Antique Vintage Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Lamp MultiColored Empire Or Miller
Hello and thank you for looking. For your consideration is a stunningly beautiful antique slag glass lamp. The lamp is a very large and heavy 8 panel piece. It measures 26 in height and the shade measures 22 in diameter. Neither the shade nor the base are marked. His impression that this lamp is most likely made by Empire, with a less likely possibility it is a Miller. I have looked through hundreds of pics of slag glass lamps made by these two makers, and while Ive not found an exact duplicate, I have found several Empire lamps that have nearly identical filigree and a few Empires that have this exact color combination in the slag glass. The shade contains a gorgeous and rare combination of colored glass, which I have heard referred to as confetti or rainbow glass. As you can see, with the lamp turned on, the shade explodes in blues, greens, pinks, yellows, creams, and orange. There is also a separate layer of glass along the lower periphery of the shade that contains the classic caramel and cream colors often seen in these lamps. Overall the shade is in quite good condition. There is one panel that has some cracks which I have zoomed in on in one of the pictures. Additionally, as you can see, new light sockets have been installed. Large Handel Slag Glass Lamp with Extremely Ornate Filigree and Multicolored
Large Handel Slag Glass Lamp with extremely ornate filigree, multi colored glass. This lamp base is a bronzed patina in perfect condition. No scratches, dents, no rust as you can see in the pictures. It is a fully original base, three light with original pull chain, sockets and finial. The lamp shade is a spectacular multi-colored glass with an extreme amount of elaborate filigree which makes it extremely heavy, which we believe is a non signed Handel. As you can see, the top and side panels have a multitude of colors including yellows, greens, reds and blues. A truly spectacular piece which is an unusual find. The scalloped edges are well defined and very unusual in its design. They do not come around very often at this level. One of the lower edge glass is missing the clips, glued. This cannot be seen from the outside. Remember this shade was made one hundred years ago when they cut glass by hand. Small nick in one piece as shown which is inconsequential. The lamp is a tall 24 1/2 inches and 17 fro corner to corner with a hefty ornate 7 1/2′base. The lamp has been rewired and ready to enjoy. Nostalgic Lighting Policies READ.
