Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Empire Miller Bradley & Hubbard Styles
This is a great large Bent Slag Glass lamp probably by Empire Lamp Co from Chicago although it is not marked. It is similar to their other shade styles. The lamp stands 22 inches tall to the top of the finial on its beautifully sculpted 7 1/2 base. The base has a great deep patinated finish with green verdigris highlights which is about all complete. The full 8 panel Bent Slag glass shade is 20 1/2 inches in diameter and 7 3/4 inches tall. The well executed overlay is complete with a patinated gold/brass finish covering the molted tan bent slag glass. All the glass is intact with no chips or cracks and all the securing tabs are there. The lamp is unmarked except for “840″ on the underside of the base. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfectly. Just a wonderful large lamp for your home or office. Antique Miller Bent Slag Glass Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Pittsburgh Empire Styles
This is a Beautiful signed Miller lamp from the 1920s. It has its original fine patinated Gold finish from the sculpted base to the top of the finial. There is some wear to the high spots on the beautifully sculpted base column which adds to its look and character. It is in wonderful condition. This lamp stands 23 inches tall to the top of the finial. The sculpted base stands 21 inches tall on it’s 7 1/2 inch diameter base. The Shade is 16 1/2 inch in diameter and the variegated carmel bent slag glass shade is about 61/2 inches tall. All the sculpted overlay is complete with almost all of its original finish and the bent slag glass is all there without any cracks or breaks. The lamp has been correctly rewired and everything works perfectly. The fluted and sculpted vase like column has a great patinated tone and look to it. The bottom of the base is marked “MLCO, 233″. Antique Art Nouveau Bent Slag Glass Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Miller Handel Empire
This is a superb antique panel lamp from the early 1900′s. This is a really nice example and looks to be original shade/base combination. Nice clean patina all around and very detailed, ornate metal work. Original glass in excellent condition with no cracks or damage. This is a recent find from a southern estate. It is not signed that I have found. Previous owners had appraised and identified against loss and it was then attributed to Bradley and Hubbard. Looks to have been rewired and it does work. As with all antique electronics, we recommend you check to your satisfaction prior to use for safety. Nice old copper sockets and ball pulls finish off this beautiful piece. Up for sale is an antique slag glass lamp. I can not find a makers mark but I believe that this is a Miller. The shade is very large and has a cabin in the woods motif. One socket does not work. There is a repair to one of the glass panels. It was difficult to photograph and can not see it in the pictures, but it is there. It is old and used and while it has survived very well, it does not look new. The glass is purple around the lower curtain and green on the top panels. Huge Antique Vintage Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Lamp MultiColored Empire Or Miller
Hello and thank you for looking. For your consideration is a stunningly beautiful antique slag glass lamp. The lamp is a very large and heavy 8 panel piece. It measures 26 in height and the shade measures 22 in diameter. Neither the shade nor the base are marked. His impression that this lamp is most likely made by Empire, with a less likely possibility it is a Miller. I have looked through hundreds of pics of slag glass lamps made by these two makers, and while Ive not found an exact duplicate, I have found several Empire lamps that have nearly identical filigree and a few Empires that have this exact color combination in the slag glass. The shade contains a gorgeous and rare combination of colored glass, which I have heard referred to as confetti or rainbow glass. As you can see, with the lamp turned on, the shade explodes in blues, greens, pinks, yellows, creams, and orange. There is also a separate layer of glass along the lower periphery of the shade that contains the classic caramel and cream colors often seen in these lamps. Overall the shade is in quite good condition. There is one panel that has some cracks which I have zoomed in on in one of the pictures. Additionally, as you can see, new light sockets have been installed.
