From an estate of a Victorian Lighting dealer. A good looking tall lamp designed during the arts and crafts movement. Unsigned as to Maker. Early arts and crafts leaded lamp – brass tone base, magnet wont stick. Constructed with amber caramel color slag glass with a deep brownish? Colored slag grass trim at both top and bottom of this unique shade. NOTE: as said this lamp has a unique feature in that it has 4 fitter receivers attached to the shades interior walls designed. To accommodate each of the lamp bases 4 arms. The overall height of lamp fully assembled is approx. 20.5 tall and weighs approx. The shade measures approx. 12 x 12 at the bottom and is 7.5 tall. The bulb socket has a working pull on / off bead chain ending with an attached acorn trim piece. Lamp was rewired sometime in its life utilizing I presume its old plug /. One of the fitter receivers attached to the shade is loose on one end, still supportive I presume if re-heated it will correct? Or need a a tad of. Lead to adhear or… Use it the way it is. A slag glass panel has a – tight – crack, see last photos. NOTE: I just mention above issues for accuracy, they are not noticeable at 1st glance or prove offensive. This is a very large, beautiful, early 20th century slag glass lamp with a rare, lighted base. The lamp also features very uncommon colorful glass. The lamp appears to be all original. It is in excellent condition considering it’s age with 2 exceptions. One of the upper curved panels has a hairline crack that has been stabilized with what appears to be epoxy. It is nicely done and the crack is nearly impossible to see what the lamp is not lit and very easy to overlook when the lamp is lit. The other issue is a bit of missing filigree on one pane. Again, an untrained eye would probably never notice. I have detailed these issues with pictures. Aside from that, the lamp works and is beautiful both lit and unlit! This unique lamp will easily become the centerpiece of a room. Lamp measures 24″ tall with the shade being 20″ in diameter! PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURED FOR BEST REPRESENTATION! Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. While I hesitate to assign a maker there, I do believe this to be a very early came leaded shade from the either Chicago Mosaic or JA Whaley. It is a very cool and very well made lamp with deep blue iris flowers against a caramel background. Came leaded lamps were much earlier than their standard foiled counterparts. They are heavier and in many cases much higher quality. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. The glass is just beautiful and the design is totally floral. In terms of size, this is a standard sized table lamp with a 18″ diameter shade that stands 23″ tall. In terms of condition, I see one or two small cracks, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces. The 4-footed base is not signed but does have nice old hardware (including two Hubbell branded sockets with their original porcelain interiors and satellite ended pull chains). This is a great example of an early came leaded lamp in wonderful condition with a beautiful pattern and great glass. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. This is an early 2oth century slag glass lamp. The shade and base are a marriage but are well proportioned to each other. The base is very heavy! The shade features 6 curved panels with lots of green accents. Two of the panes have repaired cracks. These are noticeable on closer inspection. We have used this shade in our home for a while and turned the repaired panels towards the wall and they went unnoticed. The lamp has 2 working sockets as pictured. One socket has had it’s chain replaced with a period paddle switch. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES FOR MOST ACCURATE DESCRIPTION> THANKS! This is affordable/usable antique lighting with good looks despite some damage. Rare and beautiful, from my parents estate I offer for your consideration this wonderful large mission arts and craft table lamp. It is a large lamp The shade measures approximately 12 inches from top to bottom, approximately 22 inches wide and the base of the lamp is 16 inches tall not counting the four wooden holders that holds the lampshade. The lamp is in very good shape for its age. I see that it had been rewired for there is a new socket on the lamp. The slag glass is in really nice shape. A long the rim of the shade you have a heart shaped in the center with smaller openings for slag glass. There are tiny cracks, on the four sides. You have to look real hard to find them. This is truly a beautiful mission Arts and craft styled lamp. Please look at all pictures very closely for they are part of the description. Please enlarge pictures so you can get a good view of everything. Please give me your information and I will try to get a quote for you.
