Beautiful Small Vintage Blue Slag Glass Table Lamp Light & Shade
Cute vintage blue slag and cast metal glass table or desk lamp. Lamp has a cast metal base with a cast metal and slag glass shade that has a floral basket and butterfly motif. The blue slag glass is actually more blue when the light is on – unfortunately the photos are a little blown out. The metal on the shade is bent in some places and the shade is a bit warped as you can see in the photos. It’s possible to position the lamp or shade so it is less noticeable. The top brass plate has areas of missing finish. Glass is in good condition, could not find any chips or cracks. Tested and works fine, although you might want to have it checked to make sure all the wiring is safe as with any vintage or antique lamp. Push button switch, medium base. About 14.5 high with the finial. Shade measures about 8.5 at it’s widest point. Base is about 3.75 wide. I took so many photos but of course the limit doesn’t allow me to show them all. Presenting an Absolutely Beautiful Antique Miller Slag Glass Lamp Model 234. This lamp has a beautiful gold patina on shade structure, stem, and base. Extremely clean with new wiring and sockets. One section of the glass panels incurred cracks and were professionally repaired leaving a shadowed line on the panel as seen in the last photo (light on and off). Beautiful Red/Orange Vintage Slag Glass Lamp (Shade) & Pot Metal Lamp Base. Two of the glass panels are missing the metal tabs/clips, but the panels are also held in place by silicone which is strong enough to hold these pieces. The panels are stable and solidly held. We think this piece is from the 60s/70s because the metal around the glass panels appears to be led, very malleable. The tabs/clips on the inside of the shade also appear to be led. The base of the lamp we think is pot metal. The lamp socket is Leviton. 18″ Tall x 12″ wide & 12 deep. Miller Lamp Co. Slag Glass Base, Heavy BRONZE(rare) BEAUTIFUL PATINA
This is one beautiful and heavy lamp. It stands about 24 inches tall and weighs almost 11 pounds. I believe it to be a Miller, but I did not remove the green felt and search for markings. It could also be a Whaley or Wilkinson, as it is so well made. The design is unique with floral lower and spiraling leaves/stems which course upward. The color is a bronze/green. There is one small dent which can be seen on the last picture on the edge of the base. The socket shells were changed at some time. It began to corrode years ago and my mom removed it. I think its signed but I cant make it out I photographed it so perhaps it will be recognized. I also took a picture with my flashlight under it to light a bit of the shade. The color is beautiful. Ive added a photo from about 60 years ago of the lamp with beading intact. Thats my mom and shes now 102 years old. She still loves the lamp and feels someone can restore the beads and bring it back to its original beauty.
