Signed Antique Bradley Hubbard Arts & Crafts Era Slag Glass Lamp 3 Socket B&H
This is a beautiful, early 20th century slag glass lamp by the Bradley & Hubbard Company. The lamp has B&H marks on the base as well as the shade. The lamp is in excellent condition for it’s age. Some minor wear to the original finish on the base as shown and also, 2 of the sockets have been replaced. The lamp works and looks amazing when lit. I especially like the form of this shade. It is large in diameter but quite shallow compared to some giving it an umbrella look in my opinion. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES FOR BEST REPRESENTATION! This is also a rare lamp in that the base and shade are clearly original to each other. All glass appears original with no breaks. The lamp stands 22″ tall with the shade being 18.5″ in diameter. Up for consideration is a nice Tulip Leaded glass lamp with a rare large Hampshire pottery signed Tulip base. The shade Is a Bent Slag leaded glass shade which I believe is a Whaley. Very difficult to make shades that have the bent Slag glass with the leaded Tulip flowers. The shade is 16 Diameter 7 Deep with a 3 1/2 aperture. Condition is very good. I see no cracks but there are some straw marks from the making of the glass and they have dirt over the years so they look like cracks but dont show thru on the inside of the shade. Wear to the leading. But being a antique thats to be expected. The base is a Rare Tulip signed Hampshire pottery 0013 with even the rare paper labels which are still there all these years. No cracks or repairs in the pot. The 3 socket cluster has Hubbell, s with orig. Interiors and acorn pulls mounted to a large brass oil lamp font thats been converted to electric. The base stands 20 tall and is about 12 wide. The base has been wired with period style cloth covered wire. I took a lot of pictures which is part of the description. A great looking lamp. Original Handel Lamp Slag Glass Arts Crafts Antique Tropical S Border Shade
Up for your consideration is a very nice Original Handel Lamp Company Tropical Sunset S Border shade. This shade is 7 wide and 5 1/2 tall with a 2 1/4 fitter. It has one of the green skirt panels that has a tight crack, shown in one of the photos. This is common for these old shades, all other glass in crack free. This shade has very nice orange/reddish glass that looks amazing fired up. The shade is 100% original with the original reddish/brown patina with natural formed green verde through out. This is a supercool lamp folks so pay attention lol. This lamp is in very good overall condition and needs no excuses. The base has three matching Hubbell sockets all in excellent original patina and with matching acorn pulls. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug and its in perfect working order. Now onto the shade. The shade in great coloration with vibrant glass and in a excellent arts and crafts design. The shade in excellent original condition and needing zero excuses. The leading all tight and right throughout and no loose glass pieces. This is also a larger than normal lamp measuring in 24 inches tall with the shade being 20.5 inches wide. Up for your consideration is this a seldom seen an unsigned , but documented by famous artist Paul Crist in his book – ,, Mosaic Shades, Volume II (very similar lamp is in that book on a page # 73 in upper row first one) Leaded Stained Slag Glass Lamp Shade from Arts & Crafts, Nouveau time period, circa 1910 – 20, s. No damage , only what I see 5 very small heat line cracks in a lower band of green leaves, which are hard to see. Just some signs of usage, commensurate with age. Very good leading work with nice original patina. There is a small wire “loop” inside the shade for hanging a price or ID tag / please look at picture # 10 and certainly has the quality of Unique Art Glass & Metal Co. Size is 16 inches in diameter. Very nice colorful slag glass panels. About lamp base – this is the one most commonly lamp base made by that company. All three original sockets with pull chains and bell shaped finials are in very good working condition, heat cup and wheel are also an original. Size of the lamp base is 23 inches tall. This lamp Is very large measuring in at 24 inches tall with the shade being 20.5 inches wide. The base with no breaks, cracks, or losses in the metalware and in fine working order. The base also in original green patina which is seldom seen especially in this good of condition. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord, old style plug, and its green in color to match the lamp base as well. The leaded shade also in very good overall condition and structurally sound throughout. The leading tight and right throughout, and the glass quality/coloration very good as you can see how nice this lights up in the photos. No glass losses or breaks to be seen. I have to assume the base and shade have always been together for the past 100 years or so because they are nicely matching, as well as the total proportion of shade and base.
