Antique Slag Glass Lamp 16 Panel Arts & Crafts Bradley & Hubbard Handel Era NICE
This is a beautiful antique slag glass lamp with ornate overlay. As far I I can tell, the lamp is unmarked. This lamp has 8 curved/bent panels and 8 lower panels. The shape of the panels is very unique on this lamp. The shade construction is very robust and has full lenght panel retainers on the upper panels which is a sign of a very well-designed lamp. The base on this lamp is familiar but I cannot say for sure which company. It looks to be bronze or similar. The lamp has 2 working sockets with nice long pulls and a newer cord. All glass is intact and without issue. As will all antique lighting, please have checked for safety prior to use. The lamp measures 23″ tall x 17″ wide at the widest part of the shade. Bradley Hubbard Leaded Slag Glass Antique Vintage Arts Crafts Lamp Handel Era
Bradley Hubbard Leaded Slag Glass Antique Vintage Arts Crafts Lamp Handel Era. Please check out my other 40-50 lamps that i have for sale folks. That’s an unbelievable savings as well. This is not a common lamp by any stretch and i have only owned a couple in my 25 years of collecting and dealing. The glass in this shade is extremely nice and very very vibrant as you can see. Also i only used 7.5 watt bulbs when i photographed it. This is a larger sized lamp in that its measuring 25 inches tall and the shade being 21 inches wide. The base is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard underneath, please see photo, and its in original wonderful patina with all four period Hubbell sockets with acorn pulls matching one another and in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the very heavy base and its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall original condition. All the filligree present and accounted for, as well as all the glass holding tabs on the inside of the shade. No breaks in the glass nor missing pieces thereof. The patina on the shade matching perfectly the patina on the base. All in all a super nice arts and crafts style lamp by one of the best makers there ever was and its in excellent overall original condition. Vintage 1975 GIM Metal Table Lamp withSlag Glass Shade, 26 Tall x 22 REDUCED
Base is metal; not brass or bronze; lily pad form. None of the slag glass section have cracks or repairs. Last picture shows that the inside of the shade has some section that are a little browned. I would assume that it was used with a bulb that was above the maximum recommended. Socket is marked 250 watt; seems awfully high to me. Pictures taken with 75 watt bulb. Good pictures reflect condition more accurately than descriptive words, but I will ALWAYS detail any condition issues in my written description. Big enough to serve – small enough to care! Up for consideration is this Rare One of a Kind Antique Ornate Art Nouveau Bridge Arm Table Lamp featuring Gothic Style Red Slag Glass with Copper/Brass Shaded. The inside of the slag glass is frosted (acid wash) outside is clean/slick. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. Lamp was originally a floor lamp, converted to table lamp. There are no chips or cracks in slag glass. There are spits in the brass frame (see photos). There are areas of patina or tarnishing and age related fading, all areas (see photos). It measures approximately 16 inches from shade other side of base as shown in gallery photo, 8 inches square for footed base, 4.5 inches in diameter for shade and 26 inches tall.
