Antique Rochester Victorian Crystal Brass Table Lamp with Stained Slag Glass Shade
This 19th Century New Rochester Oil Lamp was converted to an Electric lamp during the 1930′s. The Brass Oil Lamp body is in great condition and displays a Victorian motif throughout. The cast metal base is ornate and supports the weight of the lamp as it should. The lamp is completely surrounded with hanging crystal prisms, one prism is missing – It’s hard to tell because of the large spacing between each. The large slag glass shade is unique and truly brings the entire piece together. The shade displays natural caramel hues followed by small green accents. The shade is in really nice condition for its age – There are no loose panels, cracks or chips. This lamp is tested and works as it should, it includes the original wiring and plug. The metal is finished in a silver color and the shade rests on a lamp base with scrolls, garlands and fleur-de-lis decoration against matching slag stained bent glass panels. The lamp has a three-sockets cluster and floral finial. Condition : slightly wear to silver finish on metal, two-sockets have been replaced, glass panels are in very good condition. Antique Carmel 6 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp
For your consideration is an antique 6 panel slag glass table lamp with carmel colored slag panels. The metal framing for the shade has a light brass colored look with a leaf type pattern. The base is a darker brass or bronze color with a tree trunk look with a leaf pattern at the top and bottom. The lamp is in good working condition and has no issues with the slag panels or shade framing. The base has paint missing in areas mainly at the base that is showing the base cast color. It measures approximately 21 1/2 tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. The shade is 14 1/2″ in diameter and approximately 8″ tall. The bottom of the base is 7 in diameter.
