This lamp is a five footer plus 1 1/2 for the finial. The base is 9 diameter and there is a lot going on between the two points. There is alot of brass filigree work along the stem with large sections of lemonade slag glass with streaks of oxblood red in the glass with the stretch of the slag pattern also. This lamp is full sized measuring in at 21.5 inches tall with the shade being 18.5 inches wide. The base with no breaks, cracks, or losses in the metalware and in fine working order. The base also in original painted patina which is seldom seen especially in this crazy good condition. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug and its green in color to match the lamp base as well. The overlay shade also in very good overall condition and without damage of any sort. As for the filligree/overlay Im not seeing any losses there and all the glass holding tabs present and accounted for and the glass without losses or breaks. The painted lower border of the shade, matching the paint color in the base. This base and shade have always been together thats for certain. When have you ever seen a water lily designed lamp where the base and the shade match? This panel lamp is marked ML CO. And numbered 294 on the bottom of the base. The shade has 6 panels of smooth green glass. All of the glass is good. The diameter of the shade is 18. The shade is approx 7 1/2 deep. The height of the lamp is 22 1/2. The base has two pull chain sockets. The diameter of the base is 7 1/2. It has a brown vinyl cord. I have shown photos of the lamp lit and unlit. It is all ready to go. Antique Bradley and Hubbard slag glass overlay Boudoir lamp, bronze base in Aladdin’s lamp style, curved slag glass top with jade green panels and cream colored inserts. This is 11″ tall and the shade is 7″ across. Even with its diminutive size it has great detail and is a marvel to behold. It has its original cloth wrapped cord with art deco bakelite plug that are both in fine condition. This needs some repair as the chain for the switch is present but no longer installed, switch does not work. One of the shade support arms is a little loose. This has no broken glass. Antique Arts & Crafts Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very nice Handel/Unique periwinkle leaded glass table lamp. Periwinkle Unique shades are fairly common, but this one is particularly well done and I think the flowers are a little smaller and more plentiful than others I have seen in this design. Both the flowers and even the background glass are very colorful and simply outstanding. The dark greens in the leaves really contrast well with the predominantly pink petals of the flowers, and the caramel background glass just pulls it all together beautifully. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. In terms of size, this is a medium sized lamp with an 16″ diameter shade that stands 20 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see a couple of small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. There are no replaced pieces and the shade has that nice rattle of an old and original lamp. Patina on both the shade and base is just outstanding. For those of you who are new to this, the shade was made by Unique and the base is Handel. Unique did not sign their shades and the ones that are signed HANDEL should be looked at as being very suspicious as copies were made in the 1970′s. This is a good, old, authentic one from the early 1900′s. The base is a better than average bronze one that was made by Handel but is not signed. It has its original Hubbell sockets with their old porcelain interiors and satellite ended pulls. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. These things need to be double boxed and packed really well. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine.
