Old Bradley & Hubbard Piano Student Slag Glass Lamp Works Neoclassical
Excellent Bradley & Hubbard patinated brass desk lamp with tented shade having green slag glass panels with metal overlay. Overlay is lattice work with ribbons and. Bouquets and possibly bell flowers and scrolls, very neoclassical. Is mounted on double yoke arms supported by a very ornate round base. I looked and found a Pat date of 1908 as shown. I believe the base is bronze and the tent shade is some other metal. Is not my area of expertise. Very good antique condition with some surface oxidation pull chain finial missing one glass panel broken and. Regaled/taped the other a couple nicks. Works great and is beautiful when lit as you can see. This lamp is about 12″ tall, 6 1/2″ diameter base. Each slag glass panel is about 7 3/4″ x 5 1/2″. One side of each shade is about 7.25 x 8.25 and the width from the support arms is about 10 wide. Very heavy desk lamp for its size. Items I sell are not new. Antique Cold Painted Metal Slag Glass Cinderella Carriage Table Lamp Art Nouveau
Description- Very nice original 1920′s 30′s Cinderella carriage lamp cast aluminum with slag glass. Measures 15 1/2″ long and 9″ tall. Rare Antique Working Signed “Handel” Slag Glass Art Nouveau Electric Table Lamp, made in the USA by the Handel Lamp Company Meriden, Connecticut USA. The base is bronze with a nice patina. It is signed “Handel”, as pictured. The ornate filigree glass shade has 4 curved slag glass large upper panels with hues of gray, blue, purple, and brown, and 4 rectangular carmel colored lower slag glass panels in a metal filigree overlay. The lamp measures approx. 20″ tall with a 5 3/4″ wide base. The Shade has a 11″ x 11″ base diameter, with a height of approx. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or damage, Looks Great!!! The Lamp is in excellent working condition. The electrical sockets are original, but the insulators have been replaced with new ones, and the lamp has been rewired with a new cloth covered cord. The lamp is clean, complete, and ready for use right out of the box. Mission arts crafts slag stained leaded glass lamp shade riviere handel tiffany
A extremely beautiful antique all original bronze stylized dolphins overlay on slag glass lamp shade probably made by Tiffany studios or Riviere studios in excellent condition. This shade is a master work certainly made by one of the finest makers. The incredible slag glass that was used in this shade is outstanding full of fire and color with a brilliance rarely seen in other shades the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. The extremely detailed real bronze metal overlay with it’s incredible original dark patina with some slight greening is in perfect condition. The original bronze patina on the leading work is in perfect undisturbed condition. I’ve had for a while now and never saw the crack until I had it outside in the direct sun light for photo’s it’s almost invisible. I will be listing many different antique lamps over the next couple of weeks. Antique Slag Glass Copper Overlay Landscape Arts Crafts Art Deco Nouveau Lamp
It has elements of Arts and Crafts, Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements. Thereby placing it approximately in the 1910′s. The top portion of the shade is green slag that ranges from dark kelly green to light mint. The bottom portion is shades of turquoise and sky blue. The over lay appears to be copper (non magnetic) The rest of the metal is painted a coppery shade. It does work but I would recommend rewiring it. Overall it is in very good condition. There is a hairline in one panel of the green glass but is it stable. One tree top is missing on one overlay. Typical wear on the metal. Please ask any questions you may have.
