In the Loius X1V pattern, the domed shade with geometric specific decoration which only by Williamson was used-the lower border with sea shell and swag decoration and the base with cylindrical standard, raised on a circular heavy foot. The shade in overall very good condition, stable without loss to glass or repairs, only a few tight hairline cracks. The base, finial, heat cap and an original four sockets “HUBBEL” with an original pull chains and acorn finials- are having a nice rich dark brown-chocolate patina. C1915 SIGNED BRADLEY & HUBBARD B&H 8 PANEL SLAG GLASS LAMP SCENIC FRETWORK. If you have a United States address I will be happy to send it there. Presented is an 8 panel bradley and hubbard slag glass lamp. The lamp measures approx 21″ tall to the finial – the shade is 16 1/4″ in diameter point to point and approx 9 1/2 tall. Glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Signed Bradley and Hubbard on the rim of the shade. The glass is in need of a good cleaning, came straignt out of an estate. The lamp is in working condition, but i always recommend rewiring. When it lits —very nice geometric brick green granite backed tone colors, lower irregular floral “blooming hollyhock flowers” pattern with pink-orange colors. No damage to lamp base and lamp shade has a few/4-5/ slag glass panes heat line cracks which is usually for lamp over 100 years old, very strong structure!!! Shade has metal tag/stamp on the ring-”HANDEL lamps” and lamp base has etched stamp “HANDEL” on a side of the bottom/please look at the pictures/. Most popular and classic colors! In very good working order. EXTREMELY RARE LAMP BASE , bronzed metal bulbous lamp base molded with petals and scalloped foot /please look the same lamp base at the book , page 131 upper row by Hibel& Fontaine “The Handel Lamps”!!! Shade has 19 3/4″, lamp base is 23.5″!!! All parts are original, original heat cap, original cluster with three “HUBBEL” sockets with original pull chains and finials. ANTIQUE 19TH C. CONVERTED GAS LAMP With AMAZING BENT SLAG GLASS SHADE With OVERLAY
THIS IS AN EXQUSITE, HIGHLY ORNATE ANTIQUE (ART NOUVEAU PERIOD) LARGE BENT SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP. THE LAMP IS ACTUALLY A 19TH CENTURY CONVERTED GAS LAMP, AND IT IS IN TERRIFIC CONDITION. THE SLAG GLASS SHADE HAS AMAZING CURVES IN THE TWO TONE GREEN SLAG WITH DRAMATIC GILDED BRASS OVERLAY. THIS SHADE DEFINES THE TERM “BENT SLAG”! WE DID NOT SEE A NAME ON THE BASE, HOWEVER IT HAS A CENTURY WORTH OF PATINA ON THE BRASS AND WE DID NOT WANT TO RUIN THE LAMP BY POLISHING IT. THE BASE HAS GREEN FELT OVER IRON. IN THE 7TH PHOTO YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE WIRE IS COMING OUT OF THE BASE. THAT IS WHERE THE “GAS KEY” WOULD HAVE BEEN TO ALLOW THE INFLOW OF GAS. THE SHADE IS DUSTY BUT IS IN TERRIFIC CONDITION. IT FEATURES 8 BENT SLAG PANELS WITH AMAZING SWIRLS OF GREEN COLOR IN THE GLASS. THE SHADE IS UNIQUE BECAUSE THE DARKER GREEN PANELS ARE SLIMMER. THE SHADE HAS FANTASTIC GILT OVER BRASS OVERLAY WITH SOME WEAR TO THE ORIGINAL GOLD GILDING. IN THE 6TH PHOTO WE TRIED TO SHOW THE WONDERFUL CURVES IN THE GLASS. IN THE LAST PHOTO YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE IS ONE SPOT WHERE THE STAMPED GILT OVERLAY IS SCRUNCHED SLIGHTLY. THE WIRING & PLUG ARE IN NICE CONDITION AS WELL. THE SOCKETS HAVE DOUBLE CHAIN PULLS AND IN THE PHOTOS WE ONLY HAD A 40 WATT BULBS IN THEM. AGAIN THE LAMP HAS THE ORIGINAL CLOTH SHEETHED WIRE AND PLUG FROM THE 1910-20′S WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY CONVERTED. THERE ARE LIGHT FRAYS ON THE CLOTH. IN THE 11TH PHOTO YOU WILL SEE HOW THE LAMP SITS IN THE ORIGINAL RING ON THE GAS BASE. IN ORDER TO TAKE THE SHADE ON AND OFF THE LAMP YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE LIGHT BULBS AND LIFT THE RING UP AND OVER THE SOCKETS UNTIL IT IS FREE. IN THE 7TH PHOTO YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE IS NO TOPPER ON THE BASE, BUT THERE PROBABLY NEVER WAS ONE WHEN THEY CONVERTED IT. THE ANTIQUE LAMP MEASURES 23 3/4 ” TALL, AND THE SHADE IS ABOUT 14 1/4 ” WIDE. WHEN I WAS MEASURING I NOTICED SOME OF THE BRASS LOOPS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHADE ARE BENT SLIGHTLY. Vintage Wilkinson Handel Slag leaded glass Arts and Craft Bronze Base lamp NR
Still cleaning out the barn at my dad’s ranch, check back for other good treasures. Here we have a beautiful Wilkinson leaded slag glass arts and craft large lamp in two colors. The leading is very tight it has a few minor issues probably 6 or so areas have tight cracks, i tried to show 5 of the in the second and 3rd photo. The glass has a lot of natural straw lines so these are very hard to see i had to take it outside in the sun to find where they were. Also we can’t find the finial if we do we will send later. This lamp is heavy and massive 24″ tall and 18″ tall. I believe these bases were made of brass and bronze the verde green is in excellent condition, i just wiped it off it’s still has dust in the grooves. It has the three sockets with the three acorn original pull chains. Questions welcomed and Satisfaction a Must!
