RARE Bradley & Hubbard Oasis Tropical Sunset Slag Glass Panel Lamp Handel Era
Just out of a local house is this very rare Bradley and Hubbard slag glass panel lamp. It is large and has the “Oasis” or Tropical overlay design somewhat like Handel’s tropical lamps. The lamp stands about 28 inches tall and weighs a substantial 29 pounds. The shade measures about 22 1/4 inches across, about 24 inches at its widest, and about 9 1/8 inches deep. The lamp has 8 upper panels in a caramel/white glass and 8 lower border panels in multi colored green, caramel, and a little orange and white glass. The base is highly detailed with winged angels or cherubs, acanthus leaves, and ornate scroll work. The base has an early B&H four socket cluster only marked Pat Apld For. The base has some wear to its finish, has some replaced sockets, and was rewired with antique style wire. The electrics all work well. The shade has lost a small portion of its palm tree filigree on one lower panel (see the last 2 photos to see the missing palm leaves). Some of the border glass may have been replaced some years ago but it is not easy to tell for sure. See photos as they are part of the description. We have known the previous owners of this lamp for over 40 years and they finally decided to sell it to us. It may be one of the rarest Bradley and Hubbard lamps ever made. Would make a nice addition to any collection and is guaranteed as described. We are located near Clinton, New Jersey close to Routes 78 and 31. Rare Miller Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Panel Lamp Patinated Bronze Finish
Up for sale is this very rare form Miller Slag glass panel lamp. Both the base and the shade have a green patination finish. I believe the base has a bronze finish over copper, at least the very bottom section. The shade is most likely spelter or pot metal. This lamp as beautiful as it is has some flaws, most notably there is a pretty sizable dent just underneath the most bulbous section of the base (maybe 3 x 1), it blends very well from a few feet away but jumps out under close inspection and feel. The wiring looks to have been replaced a while back and I would recommend recommend rewiring. I believe two glass panels are replaced, possibly just one, but you will note the lacking of the green hue. Finally on the interior of the shade there is a little sloppiness in the way the joints are connected, could be original, could be part of earlier restoration. Otherwise general and expected wear. Lamp base has an abrasive texture. Please view all 12 photos to help judge condition. Base measures about 17 to Finial top. Shade about 16 diameter. RARE Charles Parker Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very RARE leaded glass lamp made by the Charles Parker Company. If you are looking at this ad you are likely familiar with this company and know that their lamps like this are hard to find and rarely offered. This is a very fine example with a really cool looking shade. I will let my pictures do the talking here since they can do a better job than I can about. It, but will note that the shade is 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 23 1/2″ tall. I see two small breaks in two of the very small caramel edge pieces, but other than these the shade is essentially perfect. Base and shade have matching gun metal sort of finish and look to have been together since they were made. Wondeful, large, bulbous base has its original finiah, P&S labeled sockets (with their original porcelain interiors and satellite ended pulls), cap and finial. It has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice and I. Fairly RARE example of Charles Parker’s work and is in very fine condition overall. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. RARE Unique / Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Tiffany Duffner Era Lamp Base
Very hard to find genuine LARGE Unique hex shaped lamp base. 26 1/2″ tall (23″ to the shade rest), bottom is 9 in diameter. Standard Unique 3 1/2 shade rest. Beautiful reticulated cast cap. Three matching Bryant labeled sockets with original porcelain interiors and ball pull chains. One small dent in the stem(as shown), but otherwise overall excellent condition. Wired up with period style cloth braided cord and ready to go. Would work with a 18-22 shade. Very rare and hard to find such large Unique lamp bases. RARE Wilkinson Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is fairly rare example of Wilkinson’s acorn lamp. The shade is done with a green band of “acorns” on a white background and the rest of the shade is brickwork green. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the shade is in excellent condition with maybe 1 or 2 small cracks and there are no replaced pieces. The shade is 16 1/4″ in diameter and the lamp stands a little under 24″ tall. The heavy cast metal base is stamped 288 and has the characteristic “feet holes” in the bottom (like all Wilkinson’s do). It has its original cap. And Hubbell labeled sockets. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy.
