Heres a Beautiful Antique Stained Slag Glass Lamp. The glass is all intact, but there are some small pieces of overlay missing to the landscapes – you really need to analyze it to find them. One little piece of trim is broken off the very top (picture 12). Its very dirty as it comes from an Estate. Even though its working, it really. Height is approximately 19 and diameter is 14 or 12 and 3/8 depending on where you measure. Antique Arts & Crafts Green Slag Glass 6-Paneled Lamp Shade Metal Overlay Deco
Very good condition overall with the main flaws being that one of the soldered corner points needs re-tacked, and on the area by that joint there is some corrosion on the piece of metal holding the shade in, although it’s still in there securely. One of the small shade clips is also partially missing, but again still functioning. One or two shade panels may have a tiny nick at the very inner corner but doesn’t appear to have any damage otherwise. Metal part of the shade has some minor uneven points and signs of wear consistent with age. Measures 8″ tall, 15.5″ across from the flat panels, and 18 across from the points. Antique Purple Slag Glass Lamp/beautiful Scenic Overlay
ANTIQUE PURPLE SLAG GLASS LAMP/BEAUTIFUL SCENIC OVERLAY. This outstanding example stands 22 1/4 tall, the shade is 141/2 wide. The base is 6 1/2 wide. It is is in overall excellent condition. I tried to capture the beautiful purple color but was unable to capture it. The lamp is extremely heavy , the cord and plug are good and was probably rewired at one point and a newer socket was used. If you are looking for a statement lamp , this is it! There are some numbers or letters on the base which I cant read. Nice JA Whaley Leaded Slag Glass Overlay Arts & Crafts Desk Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Here’s a great looking J A Whaley metal overlay desk lamp. Really nice form with thick a great design of yellow flowers and green leaves. In terms of size, the shade measures 7 1/2″ square and lamp is 15 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition I see no cracks or chips and the glass and the filigree is all good and original. The pot metal base has much of its original gold wash finish and what looks like its original socket with a ball ended pull chain. It has been recently wired and comes ready to use and enjoy. It is a very nice looking all. Desk or accent lamp that would look great in an arts & crafts setting. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. For anyone of you out there that buys or sells these, you know that if done correctly this amount won’t actually cover it. THERE IS ONE SECTION OF THE BOTTOM THAT IS BROKEN IN TWO BUT IS MORE LIKE A HAIRLINE BREAK AND IS FAIRLY WELL HIDDEN BY THE OVERLAY BRASS. (SEE PHOTO) THE OVERLAY IS ANTIQUE BRASS AND REPEATS A WATER’S EDGE SCENE WITH A BRIDGE, TREES, AND WATER BIRDS. THE BASE IS ANTIQUE BRASS AS WELL WITH A RAISED BAMBOO, LEAF AND FLOWER PATTERN AROUND IT. IT WORKS AND TAKES TWO LIGHT BULBS WHICH ARE TURNED ON BY CHAIN SWITCH.
