Early 1900s Antique Mission Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Oil Lamp Stickley Era
Offered is this breathtakingly beautiful top-quality antique. Mission Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Oil Lamp in original condition and dating from the early 1900s. Standing an impressive 2 feet in height, the handsome solid oak base and trim is in amazingly-preserved condition given the age. The contrasting emerald green slag glass and oak shade does have one pane with a very old crack (looks like a repair was attempted long ago; see close-up photo for detail). Nonetheless, the lamp displays beautifully despite the flaw and is quite solid and sturdy. The lamp including its oil tank has NOT been drilled or electrified; the light socket and cord seen are NOT permanent and can easily be removed if you wish to add a wick and use it as an oil lamp. The lamp can also be permanently electrified if desired. Due to its fragility, the lamp will be professionally packaged to ensure safety in transit. The item “Early 1900s Antique Mission Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Oil Lamp Stickley Era” is in sale since Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Incredible Prairie Dbl Pedestal Mission Oak Slag Glass Lamp C. 1910 Petersen Art
Bought this 20 years ago direct from David Rago at a Seattle show. Prairie style table lamp with cutout crosses. I’ve seen 3 or 4 over the years and believe they were made in Minnesota by Petersen Art Company. It had this older refinish at the time i acquired it. When the refinish was done it was likely disassembled somewhat so an extra nail, reglued parts or a bit of minor repair should be expected (see pics). But all things being equal its in very good original condition. The sockets and pulls, the power cord, glass and wood are original as made. Stunning statement table top lamp at a fraction of the cost of Stickley, Limbert, Tiffany, or Van Earp. Additional pics upon request. I’m not really a dealer, just someone who buys too many beautiful old things and keeps them… The item “INCREDIBLE PRAIRIE DBL PEDESTAL MISSION OAK SLAG GLASS LAMP C. 1910 PETERSEN ART” is in sale since Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Incredible Large Antique Arts / Crafts Mission Oak Slag Glass Lamp C. 1910
This sale is for an incredible, beautiful antique Arts and Crafts mission oak slag glass lamp c. It is quite large measuring 24 tall to the top of the shade. The shade measures approx. 17 1/2 on each side and the base measures approx. It is all original and the finish has slight crazing from age. The slag glass has no cracks and when unlit it appears purple but lights up to a beautiful reddish purple colour. For the sake of accuracy, two of the wooden arms that hold the shade have cracks where they attach to the center stem as seen in the last picture but this is an easy fix with wood glue. I could not see if there is a makers name, the base has the old original cork type coating. Antique Bronze Arts & Crafts Era Mission Slag Glass Grapevine Lamp PICKUP ONLY
Fabulous antique slag glass lamp with grapevine pattern. Unsigned as far as I can tell. The 12 3/4 square shade has 12 panels, 5 of which have cracks including one with a missing piece as shown. The base has 8 panels with one cracked panel. That damaged panel is on the bottom part. The base is 10 square and has claw feet. Metal appears to be bronze or copper with brown and green patina. The finial is stuck on the threaded rod. Every time I turn it the rod turns too so the finial is not holding that shade in place very well. Really doesn’t affect the look or use of the lamp in my opinion. I know there are companies on the internet that make slag replacement panels in case you are hesitant about purchasing a lamp with damaged panels. The lamp stands 21 tall from base to top of finial. Uses 5 light bulbs, 4 beneath shade and 1 in base. 4 pulls chains with one shorter than the other three. On/Off switch on the cord. Antique Mission Arts & Crafts Oak Green Slag Glass Shade for Mission Oak Base
Antique Mission Arts & Crafts Green Slag Glass Oak frame Shade. This is an absolutely gorgeous green slag glass shade made for an oak Mission lamp base. It is in excellent condition with no cracks in the glass or issues with the exterior wood. It is in very fine condition, nearly flawless. It looks like there used to be beads hanging from it at one point, common in the 1920s, so tiny nail holes are visible on the underside, not visible when mounted. There are also 4 holes, one centred on each side of the underside from where the arms of the base attached. These will not be visible when attached to a Mission oak lamp base. 12 x 12 at side to side at bottom. 5.25 x 5.25 side to side at top.
