Antique Bent Panel Slag Glass 8 Panel Large 19 Filigree Table Lamp Shade Nice
Here we have an original circa 1910 – 1920′s era LARGE 8 SECTION, BENT PANEL, SLAG GLASS, TABLE LAMP SHADE “NO BASE” This is a fairly large shade measuring approximately 19 inches across by 9 inches tall. The fitter portion on the top measures 2 7/8 inches across “from the top hole” but because the lip in bent over ” from the underside ” it looks to work on approximately a 3 1/8 to 3 1/4 inch top cap. The over all condition is very good with no damage to the slag glass or fancy filigree portion. The only thing I can see that needs mentioned is there are two little section that fit on the bottom of two of the panels that are missing. They really don’t appear to do all that much and are very hard to even notice but none the less needed mentioned. I would imagine there are certainly more bases than nice shades so if you have a base this large shade would fit, it would make a really nice lamp. I will pack this shade with GREAT CARE! Original patina & cap finial which does not tighten completely. It has two sockets. Condition is very good, no broken panels or damage. Large art noveau lamp with bent slag glass shade. This is a beautiful vintage electric table lamp. The lamp has a decorative heavy metal base with a single stem and two light sockets. Each socket has a chain pull. The lamp metals have a dark patina. The shade has a decorative metal overlay of trees in a forest scene with caramel color bent slag glass and blue slag glass inserts with a river and cattails and reeds. This is a slag glass lampshade with 5 intact caramel/cream color glass. Panels and 1 broken piece. The 5 intact panels measure 8.5 long with. 8″ at widest curved bottom part and 2.25″ at part nearest the top. Are creamy color, 2 medium caramel color and 1 darker shades of caramel color. Frame not completely round so measures 15-16 in diameter. At some time been painted gold with flecks of gold on the glass in spots. Marks or initials anywhere I can see. No idea of it’s age or where it was made. If someone would just prefer the glass panels and not the metal frame of the shade. I can try and remove and send only the panels. THIS WILL MAKE A STATEMENT IN ANY ROOM! Made by Royal P&A in the 1800′s. It was originally an oil lamp but has been converted to electric. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES OF THIS BEAUTY. Extra large green and white slag shade. Each of the 16 slag glass pieces are held together by an ORNATE metal design. The base is ornate as well and solid brass. The perfectly designed body is glass and has a great satin/velvet look about it. The lamp stands almost 24″ tall and is over 17″ wide. Absolutely no cracks or chips in the glass body. The brass pieces have little wear and perfect patina. The lamp is made of all metal and glass. The shade is free of any missing glass and only has one of the small pieces with a crack. It looks to have some quality past metal repairs. The cord is heavy duty and has the switch built into the cord. The cord is extra long as well. The socket is a little loose but does the job as it should. It was taken very good care of! It appears to have almost all of its original pieces and could be converted back to oil if wanted.
