Antique Charles Parker Leaded Slag Stained Glass Banded Red Rose Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a beautiful banded red rose leaded lamp that I believe to be made by Charles Parker. Super look with deep red flowers, brown stems and green leaves against a pale caramel background. I will my pictures do most of the talking here, and from these you can seethe very elegant and well thought out design of this beautiful lamp. This is a full sized table lamp with an 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 23 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see only one or two minor hairlines…. The shade is just as beautiful and perfect as the day it was made. The pot metal base has a nice floral design as well. It is heavy and sturdy but much of the brass wash finish has gone away over the years. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. Neither the base nor the shade is signed, and Charles Parker is my best guess as the company that made it. It is a wonderful, antique, 1920′s era lamp in very fine overall condition. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Antique Signed Charles Parker Slag Glass Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Era for Resto
Heres a Beautiful Antique Charles Parker Slag Glass Lamp for restoration. Its been painted gold, two brown panels and one green one are broken, most of the. Lower tabs for holding in the glass have been sloppily re-soldered with one having broken off again. The solder has left dark areas on the outside in places (picture 4). Of the 16 little ends of the volutes at the bottom of each shade section, 6 are broken off (picture 3, example). It needs complete re-wiring. Height is approximately 22 and diameter is 17 or 18 and 3/8 depending on where you measure. CONDITION: Good, has the original top cover & finial, some wear/loss to original finish, no cracks, no chips, one socket pull chain not working the other socket pull chain on/off clicks fine, one socket mounting joint has come loose from top cover, light bend to top, no repairs.
