Up for your consideration is this a rare and seldom seen on e bay market full floral leaded stained Slag Glass large table lamp made by Royal Art Glass Company in “Hollyhock” design, Circa 1910, s. That lamp was the largest version and most beautiful made by that company. Look at the finial and heat cap — really nice ornate design, has three original sockets. Look at the lamp base -_– how is beautiful it!!! Size of base is 27.5″ tall by 10″in diameter at the bottom. Look at the shade! It has ONLY 3 heat cracks in lower band of stained panels. Really , almost Mint condition for lamp shade which is over 110 years old! Size is lamp shade is 21 in diameter. This is a documented lamp! I put last picture with photo of that lamp from the book “Mosaic Shades, volume II” by Paul Crist, page # 318. Any questions, please ask. Description: Up for sale is this very beautiful leaded and slag glass table lamp. The base was originally a gas lamp (note pipe fitting at base). So it would date to the late 19th or early 20th century. Lamp is brass with cast iron ballast at base. It has two sockets with pull cords. I have had the lamp re-wired entirely with modern cord. Shade was added after the gas conversion to electric but is probably around 1920. Wonderful floral pattern (red poppy flowers I believe). With green leaf design at top and caramel glass around. Much of the glass has been bent which is unusual. No Maker’s marks on base or shade. Really a very beautiful and unusual lamp that might be of interest. This listing is for a circa 1910 handsome slag glass metal overlay table lamp. The lamp measures 23 1/4 inches or 59cm high to the top of the finial and, the shade is 16 1/2 inches or 42cm in diameter. The shade consists of 8 panels. Each panel consists of a caramel color glass which is slightly curved. All the glass is held in place by clips on the inside. The outside of the shade has a beautiful metal overlay. The overlay is ornate and beautiful with its open work floral and lattice design. The base is round with a slightly scalloped edge and has an undulating standard with diamond pattern. The lamp has two pull chain sockets, both working. The lamp is in very good condition. Please see the many photos for more on the look and condition as they are an important part of the description.
