Antique Pittsburgh Bent Slag Glass Lamp Miller Bradley & Hubbard Handel Rainaud
This is an original exquisite large Bent Slag Glass lamp probably by Pittsburgh. I find no markings on the lamp other than a “P” on the very top securing nut. This is a large and heavy lamp standing 24 inches tall on a 9 inch sculpted base. The base and the vase like column are all wonderfully cast and a magnet sticks so it is not pot metal. The original patinated gold/bronze finish is almost all there. The 8 panel bent slag glass shade is 17 or 18 1/2 inches in diameter and stands 7 1/2 inches tall. It is complete and all the sculpted fan webbing overlay is complete with a wonderful antique gold/bronze patina with hints of other colors. The Bent Slag Glass panels are complete. The shade rests on the sculpted top of the base and then has a patinated copper cap that the finial secures over the top of the shade to hold it on. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfectly. A wonderful large lamp for your home! Antique Arts & Crafts Red Stained Bent Slag Glass 16 Panel Iron Hanging Lamp 27
This is huge antique arts & crafts slag glass and iron hanging lamp. It dates to the late 19th Century in approximately the 1890′s. This is a hard wire lamp direct into the ceiling. Measures 27″ wide x 12.5″ with approx. 56 of cord and chain, no plug, but easy to add one if you’d like to make this a swag. This has little diamond shaped red stained glass pieces on the rim between each panel and an iron chain stich trim. It could use a good cleaning but works great. This piece ships fully insured and free. THIS PIECE IS HUGE! Pioneered in England, slag-glass lamp shades also became popular around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This style incorporated streaked, opaque glass initially produced by incorporating slag from iron-smelting foundries. The look became common for paneled lamp shades with complicated metal filigree framing each slag-glass segment. Noted slag-glass lamp manufacturers include Bradley Hubbard, Wilkinson, Handel, and Miller. If you live elsewhere, contact me for a price. Antique Puffy Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Victorian Art Nouveau
This is a beautiful antique slag glass lamp. Caramel “puffy” glass on the shade as well as on the base. The lamp measures 21 1/2″ tall x 18″ wide. Shade has Art Nouveau floral swags and cartouches. The base has two handles and a metal design over the slag glass top and bottom on both sides of the lamp. Two original sockets with pull chains. Lights top, bottom, and top with bottom. Glass is all original. Not signed, so I don’t know who the maker was. Stunning large slag glass lamp. Condition: The lamp appears to be all original except for the wiring and the on/off switch on one side of the base. The cap at the top has a thin chip off the edge, which you can see in the photo taken of the top of the lamp. This is obviously not very noticeable because it’s on the very top of the lamp, but the shade may appear to be just very slightly higher on one side than the other. The base has some loss to the metal design, situated over the glass, at the top, where it appears some of it was cut off, although it looks the same on both sides. This is not something you notice unless you examine the lamp very closely. And there is some loss to the metal design over the glass, on one side, on the bottom of the base (shown). If you were to turn that side of the lamp to the wall, you wouldn’t know there was any loss…. Well, except for the fact that I just told you. The shade appears to be in very good condition. We are pleased to offer for sale this gorgeous vintage Art Noveau style bent slag glass table lamp with lighted base. This lamp is 24″ tall to the top of the finial on the shade and the shade is 18″ in diameter. This shade has six caramel and cream slag glass panels with lovely brass detail, there are cameo figures on the bottom of each panel divider. The lighted base has matching slag glass with unique brass detail of Greek mythology figures. This lamp has double sockets with two pull chains and the base has a push button for the base light. There are 3 lighting options with this lamp, top only, bottom only, or top and bottom. This lamp is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. The glass panels have no chips, cracks or repairs and the brass fretwork has no missing pieces or damage. The cord and plug have been replaced. Each socket has a chain pull. The lamp metals have a dark patina. THIS IS A GORGEOUS BENT GREEN SLAG GLASS LAMP. THE DOUBLE CHAIN PULL LAMP IS LARGE AND QUITE HEAVY! THIS LAMP IS CIRCA. THE SHADE HAS 8 PANELS OF GREEN SLAG GLASS WITH GILDED METAL OVERLAY. THE OVERLAY HAS A SCROLLED FLORAL DESIGN THAT GIVES THE SHADE A “SILHOUETTE” LOOK WHEN IT IS LIT. ALL OF THE METAL IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO SPLITS, BENDS OR BREAKS. IN THE LAST PHOTO YOU WILL SEE A FEW TABS MISSING AND A CHIP TOWARDS THE TOP OF ONE OF THE SLAG PANELS. THE CHIP CAN ONLY BE SEEN FROM UNDERNEATH. Antique Stunning Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Wilkinson, Gorham, Bigelow & Kennard
Antique Stunning Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Wilkinson, Gorham, Bigelow & Kennard. This is a Stunning Early Slag Glass Table Lamp with bent glass corners. I do not see a makers name but it is very well made and I do think it is one of the good early makers. The shade has great old glass there are a few lines and there are many factory deep dark swirl lines but those are factory. I put arrows to the issues I see they are there but they really don’t take away from the beauty of this very old shade. I also did not remove the bottom plate they are sometimes signed behind the bottom plates on the foot. It is a single early Union paddle socket lamp with a 3 arm harp. The base has it’s original finish some small areas of finish loss but it is quite old!! I’m guessing the age on this lamp is 1930 but could possibly be earlier. It stands 20″ the shade is about 7 3/4″ tall 16 1/2″ wide with a 3 3/8″ top opening weight of lamp is 11.2.5 pounds. The lamp was rewired and to me it looks like they did so in the late 1950 or early 60s by the look of the cord. It has a few issues but I honestly do not believe you will be disappointed it is a wonderful old lamp! Thank you for your interest! In the case of a Holiday it may take a bit longer!!! But don’t expect to find anything remotely Victorian!! So please try to be somewhat kind because sadly it’s really easy to hurt us with those star ratings!! I Do Also Except E-Check!!!
