Arts Craft CHANDELIER STAINED GLASS-John Morgan Slag Glass Chandelier Missions. ANTIQUE-John Morgan Craftsmans Chandelier LAMP Stained Glass. INCREDIBLE RARE SLAG GLASS GAS & ELECTRIC CHANDELIER John Morgan & Sons. Offered is a Very Rare American made and an Absolutely Incredible Curved Slag Glass / Stained Glass Gas & Electric Combination Arts & Crafts Chandelier. You see plenty of them in electric but not the gas/electric combination. This large hanging chandelier is fabulous! The frame is brass construction featuring wide buckle bands on the upper and lower portion of the curved slag glass panels held in with brass frame work, with additional slag panels in the crown, crown is removable. Still has what I believe may be its original silk fringe which looks as though it can be removed. Both gas and electric was common around the turn of the century. This fixture has four gas burners on the outside ring of shade and three electric sockets inside the shade. All glass colors are antique & beautiful! The all original insanely beautiful slag glass panels are full of color and fire the photo’s truly can’t do it any justice. Retains its beautiful and original filigree gas control finials. The fixture itself is 18″ tall, the widest is 24″ and the diameter of the shade is 18. The chain itself is about 48. Weight of the chandelier is about 20 pounds. I know that the faux candle holders that cover the gas pilots are crooked, it was a challenge for me to photograph because of the size and weight. Nice coloration, one slag with a tight hairline and is barely seen, has hung for years. I have one hanging in my dining room worse and I never notice it. They are just so beautiful and rare. One screw on band missing. Patina consistent with age. Used, good overall age appropriate condition, wear commensurate with age, nothing offensive. Typical signs of use and age. This is about 100 plus years old and will show signs of wear to be expected. Photos are considered part of the listing description. Condition is old yet in very good condition. Up for sale is this nice antique Mission or arts & crafts desk lamp or banker lamp with slag glass inside the shade, no missing parts and working order. Shade can be adjust but we have to tight the screw very well to have the shade stay in place. Size is 16 tall, base is 6 3/4 x 3 7/8 and shade is 6 1/2 square by 7 height. Old or vintage light fixture should always be check by an electrician before using them, for safety, this is your responsability to do that. Thanks and have a great day! We view lamps as more than lighting, we view them as art. As more than a way to brighten a room, a way to brighten ones day. Up for consideration is this Awesome Antique Arts and Crafts Egyptian Style Mission Style Beige and Brown Slag Glass Table Lamp. Featuring Camels, Pyramids and Palm Trees. It features switch positions that light upper, lower or both. Also stating he worked on sets, and said this lamp was used on the movie set of’Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf’. He stated it was damaged on set and offered to him, if he wanted it. If you view the last photo, you see there are reproduction lamps for sale. These lamps are not slag glass, they are stained glass joined using Tiffany’s method, to hold in place. It is in very good antique estate condition. There are age related patina or tarnishing of the metal (see photos). It had one broken slag glass panel, which was replaced. Also the bottom metal frame is bent slightly inward (see photos). There are two beads missing on two lower corners (see photos). We also changed the finial (see photos). Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. An Arts & Crafts Pink Slag Glass Brass Lamp, United States, c. This Lamp makes for the perfect contrast piece while staged in an array of interior styles. The shade includes 4 pink slag glass panels, each are recessed into the shade – It looks exceptional while illuminated. The brass stem of the lamp is nicely styled with a button motif. The underside of the Lamp is unsigned or marked. Condition: This Lamp was rewired with a modernized plug for longevity, it’s fully tested and works as it should. Repairs are shown to the frame of the shade, there aren’t any cracks or repairs in the glass although some of the panels show movement (but do not fall out). The shade was lacquered in gold over the brass plating, the stem and base are solid brass. Dimensions: 14″ wide x 20″ tall x 14 deep. Stunning slag glass desk lamp. It has a Hubbell light fixture in it. It’s in good used condition. No chips or cracks in glass. The metal appears to be copper and is also in good condition.
