Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great example of Wilkinson’s arts & crafts style work. Its a red chunk jewel lamp having a. Style shade with massive and protruding dark red chunk jewels around the boarder. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here as they can do a better job of describing this lamp than I can, but will say that this lamp is in excellent overall condition with no replaced glass and not having a single crack anywhere in the shade. It is in such wonderful condition that I can say I have not seen another one quite like it. It must have been well cared for over its over 100 year old life! This is a full sized table lamp with a 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 25 1/2″ tall. The base is quite solid and sturdy and has what appears to be its original aged copper colored finish with dark highlights in the bottom folds of the design. It has old and matching P&S labeled sockets with their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains, and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and an old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you have ever wanted a very nice example of Wilkinson’s arts & crafts work, this is it. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. The item “Arts & Crafts Wilkinson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Tiffany Era Lamp” is in sale since Sunday, May 14, 2017. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. Antique Arts & Crafts Large Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Metal Base Cir. This table lamp is all original as found. The shade has twelve pieces of curve green slag glass in a metal frame. The base is all metal with original electric sockets dated 1910 and has original pull chains. There are no cracks or breaks on the glass. The original brown finish is almost worn off the base and gone on the shade. The original green felt under the base is very worn. This lamp has been rewired by previous owner, sockets are original. The top of the shade mounting ring is slightly bent and the mounting ring on the top of the base is slightly bent also. There are two marker marks when aligned up, you will have a level fit on base and shade. I think the mounting bolt is not the original, only has a few threads to secure the top cap. There is even age wear on base and shade for being this old. There are a few heat cracks in the shade metal ornamentation. This is a large lamp that measures 25 1/2 tall. Shade is 20 ” across and the base is 6″ wide at the base. You will look a long time before you find another lamp like this. Please look close at the pictures as they are part of the description. This is a very cool design and it has great glass in it. It lights up way better than i was able to capture in the photos. This is a full sized lamp folks measuring in 23.5 inches tall with the shade being 20 inches wide. All the glass without damage and great color; the metalware of the shade also without any breaks or damage and the filligree all present and accounted for. The multi color granite border glass really sets this shade off. Then add in the super intricate filligree around the border and you have a spectacular lamp. The base in fine working order and without damage or breaks. Please notice how cool the design work is in the base. Also the base in original patina and with its matching sockets and pulls. Its a very heavy and well made base as well as the shade and simply a large and unique lamp. Thanks for looking and please check out my other lighting auctions as well. BEAUTIFUL WOODEN PRARIE STYLE ARTS AND CRAFTS LAMP WITH ORIGINAL WIRING IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. IT APPEARS THAT THE FINISH IS ORIGINAL, please refer to detailed pictures of the seams of the piece. It has a nice dull warm luster to it’s patina and no signs of dripping from newer refinish work. Two of the arms, maybe just one, seems to have broken and then glued some time ago. I feel that this was do very well and does not detract from the aesthetics of this awesome adornment. This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The base measures 24 inches tall and the shade is 19 inches wide, so this is a large lamp folks. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has a three socket cluster and the patina original to the base and very nice throughout. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 2-4 or so that are here or there and as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. Very nice patina on the leading throughout as well. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. It measures 30 inches tall and the shade is 22 inches wide, so this is a very large lamp here folks. There is no damage at all to report on the base. Its solid brass with newly rewired proper gold colored period style cord and newer sockets. Its in fine original patina throughout. No metalware damage to mention either. Certainly a quality maker in line with handel or bradley and hubbard. As for the shade i see 2-3 tight cracks in the glass that mean absolutley nothing because they are hard to find, dont stand out when lit, and with probably 300 pieces of glass in the shade, its expected. The shade well constructed and has no pieces of glass missing nor loose because the leading is tight throughout. The leading of the pieces very heavy and thick throughout. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it.
