Unusual Floral Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp on Glass Base Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an interesting and cool little leaded stained glass accent lamp on a matching milk glass base. Very unusual and quite attractive. Super look with bright pink flowers against an off white background. The shade is hexagonal with the repeating floral scene on each of the 6 panels. I will my pictures do most of the talking here, and from these you can see the very cool and unusual design of this beautiful little lamp. This is a medium to small sized lamp larger than a boudoir but smaller than a full sized table lamp. The shade is 14″ in diameter and the lamp stands about 20 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see a few hairlines in the background white glass (the worst of which is shown), but otherwise its in nice shape with no replaced pieces. The leading is very fine and detailed suggesting a good maker. The 2-socket milk glass base has a nice slender look with a floral design that complements the shade quite well. It has recently been rewired and comes ready to use and enjoy. Neither the base nor the shade is signed, and I do not have a clue who made it….. But it is a wonderful, antique, 1920′s era lamp in very fine overall condition. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. This is not a common lamp and its in very nice overall condition. The lamp measuring in at 23 inches tall with the shade being 18 inches wide. Let’s start with the shade. No missing glass segments in the shade of course and no filligree losses around the border of the shade. Patina on the shade matching the base and in very nice original condition. No breaks or cracks in the slag glass panels. The green and caramel colored glass spectacular and with no replaced panels meaning all panels original. Now onto the base. Its in fine working order and again there is no damage to report. No dents or dings or metalware loses. The base also comes with its original matching P and S sockets that are in fine working order please see photo. Great art nouveau design work that Salem Bros. This lamp will command any room its put in and lights up better than photographed. All in all a super nice arts and crafts/art nouveau style lamp in great original condition so you cant beat that. The painted border glass in the shade with nice and warm color, the filligree (overlay) all present and accounted for as well, and all glass holding strips present as well. No breaks or losses in the glass to be seen. As for the base, it is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard at the top of the cluster with their triangular logo, please see photo. The base also in original patina and in fine working order. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord, old style plug, and with an inline on/off switch as well. The sockets also updated and the base in fine working order. The base with a three socket cluster. There is also no damage at all to the very heavy base meaning no dents, dings, or cracks. The arts and crafts embossing on the base supercool and with matching colors to the shade of course. The lamp measuring 22.5 inches tall and the shade 19 inches wide, so a full sized lamp for sure. Rewired Antique 26 Art Deco Cast Iron Table Lamp Finial Brown Slag Glass FX324
Brown Slag Glass Accent. This table lamp is a recent estate sale find. At the time the original wiring was cracked and unsafe. The decision was made to replace it new cloth covered wiring to match the original. After the installation the lamp was tested and is completely functional. This lamp is about 26″ high to the top of the included original solid brass fini al 21-7/8″ to the top of the cluster cap. The cast iron base is about 6-3/4 in diameter. The brown slag glass accent is about 2 in diameter and is free of cracks, chips, and repairs. The new electric cord is about 6′-6 in length. No lamp shade is included in this listing.
