Handel Arts Crafts Leaded Slag Glass Antique Vintage Lamp Bradley Hubbard Era

Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. That’s an unbelievable savings. The glass in this dragon fly shade is pretty nice as you can see in the photos and i only used two 7 watt bulbs for the photos and look how vibrant the colors are. Its a nice utilitarian size meaning not too big and not too small. The base measuring 21 inches tall and the shade being 18 inches wide. The base in nice original chocolate brown patina with the sockets matching and in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the base. The base retaining its beautiful Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls that are also in fine working order. The base signed on the bottom but very lightly and i could make out the letters del which is the ending three letters for handel. 110% known and documented handel base and not a reproduction guaranteed. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. Nice quality glass and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. All the leading tight and right and as a very nice touch, the maker (unknown) used small pieces of chunk glass for the eyes on the dragon flys. The shade not period to the base but quality built nonetheless. All in all a nice arts and crafts style lamp in very nice overall condition. You cant beat that. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Antique Arts & Crafts Handel / Unique Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very unusual Handel/Unique leaded glass table lamp. I say unusual since I have never seen one with purple flowers. Sure, periwinkle Unique shades are fairly common and this design is pretty standard, but the glass in the one is just over the top fantastic. Both the flowers and even the background glass are very unusual and simply outstanding. Dark greens and blues run throughout this one, with some brighter pieces and even some yellow to make the stems. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any arts & crafts setting. In terms of size, this is not a large lamp but a good sized table lamp. The shade measures 14″ in diameter and the lamp stands 21″ tall. In terms of condition, I see a couple of small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. There are no replaced pieces and the shade has that nice rattle of an old and. Patina on both the shade and base is just outstanding. For those of you who are new to this, the shade was made by Unique and the base is Handel. Neither are signed as was common, but both are guaranteed to be 100% authentic and date from the early 1900′s. Has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. Antique Mission Arts & Crafts Oak Green Slag Glass Lamp 1/2 Of Mfg. Seal
Antique Mission Arts & Crafts Oak Green Slag Glass Lamp. The lamp in total is 25 tall. The shade has four panels of slag glass, with the shade being 14 wide at the base of shade and go to 6 at the top in a pyramid shape. Each panel has 1 frame of wood supporting it. The top is a 6 by 6 square with a 2 x 2 square at the very top. There is one piece of wood on one corner at the top of the lamp that broke off. It is approximately 2 long and 1/4 at the widest part. The wood still is the same color so it is barely noticeable. The base of the lamp is 18 tall. The bottom of base is 7 square that is 1 thick. On top of that is 4.5 square that is also 3/4 thick. The center base begins as 10 in circumference gradually tapering to 6 7/8. This part of base is 11.5 tall. At the top of this is another 10 circumference piece of wood. There is a 13 long 1 thick wood bar that runs across the lampshade to secure it to the lamp shade. All glass pieces are in perfect condition with no cracks. Picture to show rewiring that took place.
