Pristine Lamb & Greene leaded glass lamp- Handel Tiffany Arts Crafts era slag
One of the very best Lamb Bro. & Greene Nappanee Indiana. LB&G outlasted most of the big name makers of the time. They made quality leaded lamps no to baroque and more attractive to mainstream America. Many of their best were the Art Deco designs into the 1920′s. They are working on a museum in Nappanee to showcase LB&G lamps. This example comes with original base cap & finial. That is what I believe makes many of their shades hold up without heat cracks. The lamp is clean and ready to use. Stands 21″ tall, 6.5″ wide foot. Shade is 16″ x 8″ deep. I’ve personally always felt this shade is one of their best! And this lamp is a great example of the workmanship and pride these Indiana employees had in their lamps. Also in pictures is a advertisement which features this shade. Antique 3 HUBBELL Socket Cluster for Handel Slag Leaded Reverses Painted Glass Lamp. Nice clean example in dark unpolished patina as shown. Has some areas of green in the patina. Cluster is in excellent condition with no breaks, splits or notable damages. There are the expected surface scratches and wear. No real harm and noted for accuracy only. Missing the pull chains. Early 1900s Antique Mission Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Oil Lamp Stickley Era
Offered is this breathtakingly beautiful top-quality antique. Mission Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Oil Lamp in original condition and dating from the early 1900s. Standing an impressive 2 feet in height, the handsome solid oak base and trim is in amazingly-preserved condition given the age. The contrasting emerald green slag glass and oak shade does have one pane with a very old crack (looks like a repair was attempted long ago; see close-up photo for detail). Nonetheless, the lamp displays beautifully despite the flaw and is quite solid and sturdy. The lamp including its oil tank has NOT been drilled or electrified; the light socket and cord seen are NOT permanent and can easily be removed if you wish to add a wick and use it as an oil lamp. The lamp can also be permanently electrified if desired. Due to its fragility, the lamp will be professionally packaged to ensure safety in transit. Incredible Prairie Dbl Pedestal Mission Oak Slag Glass Lamp C. 1910 Petersen Art
Bought this 20 years ago direct from David Rago at a Seattle show. Prairie style table lamp with cutout crosses. I’ve seen 3 or 4 over the years and believe they were made in Minnesota by Petersen Art Company. It had this older refinish at the time i acquired it. When the refinish was done it was likely disassembled somewhat so an extra nail, reglued parts or a bit of minor repair should be expected (see pics). But all things being equal its in very good original condition. The sockets and pulls, the power cord, glass and wood are original as made. Stunning statement table top lamp at a fraction of the cost of Stickley, Limbert, Tiffany, or Van Earp. Additional pics upon request. Large Whaley Shade on Handel 3 socket base. Stands 23″ tall 6″ square foot. Shade 19″ x 7″ 3.5/8 aperture. Gorgeous antique glass bright stylized floral border. There are no cracks in the glass leading is right and tight! Is of course a marriage of 2 HIGH quality items. That do work pretty well together. A great opportunity for someone with a Handel shade and a Whaley base. Mix and match any way you would like. Either way its a beauty that would certainly bring attention in someones front window! Wired with brown cloth period style cord. 3 Saturn pull chain Paiste sockets working just fine, insides may have been updated keeping original chain and shells. But they are safe and that’s the most important thing about any socket.
