Exceptional Bent Slag Glass Art Nouveau Lamp Lighted Base Handel Miller B & H Era. We are pleased to offer for sale this gorgeous vintage Art Noveau style bent slag glass table lamp with lighted base. This lamp is 24″ tall to the top of the finial on the shade and the shade is 18″ in diameter. This shade has six caramel and cream slag glass panels with lovely brass detail, there are cameo figures on the bottom of each panel divider. The lighted base has matching slag glass with unique brass detail of Greek mythology figures. This lamp has double sockets with two pull chains and the base has a push button for the base light. There are 3 lighting options with this lamp, top only, bottom only, or top and bottom. This lamp is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. The glass panels have no chips, cracks or repairs and the brass fretwork has no missing pieces or damage. The cord and plug have been replaced. There is no makers name on this lamp but it is the style and era of Handel, Miller and Bradley and Hubbard. This lamp is a wonderful work of art and we will package it with utmost care in two boxes. Leaded lamp, antique slag, stained glass arts and crafts, handel, whaley B&H era
Up for your consideration is an unsigned arts and crafts style bent glass leaded lamp. The lamp is 21″ inches tall and the shade is 16″ inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches deep. This bent panel shade has lovely glass and is decorated with stylized acanthus leaves at the rim. My wife and I actually considered keeping it but, alas I have way too many lamps and need to sell a few. The shade is in excellent condition with very few tight hear cracks but they don’t detract from the lamps beauty at all. The base has wear appropriate with its age and is wired with newer vinyl covered wire. Both sockets are replacements and are in working order. I can rewire the lamp with period cloth wire and install old period sockets if you desire but this lamp needs nothing unless you are a purist. I have many types of sockets including Hubbells with acorn pull chains or paddles and plenty of wire. Leaded lamp chicago mosaic antique stained glass arts and crafts slag glass
Up for your consideration is an antique leaded glass lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic shade company. The pattern seems to be of a lotus flower or water lily motif. This lamp base measures almost 23 inches tall and the shade is about 18 inches in diameter and 8 inches deep. The base has some wear but is in good working condition, it is an unsigned example I have seen before. I had to replace the finial so it is not period. The shade has a few very tight heat cracks but they are barely discernible. They did a nice job so it now looks like the solder and cap have an applied metallic bronze patina over it. I would rather my shades stay grungy and the only time I clean them is when they are heavy with cigarette tar and nicotine. The lamp is still a nice example with a lot of textured glass so it really sparkles. Please look at the pictures I have included. Chicago mosaic leaded lamp antique stained glass arts and crafts slag glass
Up for your consideration is an antique leaded glass lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic shade company. The pattern is that of stylized lily flowers with a white background. This lamp base measures almost 23 inches tall and the shade is about 18 inches in diameter and 8 inches deep. The base has some wear but is in good working condition and is a signed example. I had to replace the finial so it is not period. This is a fairly rare shade and I have only seen it come up for sale a few times. There is some damage to the heat cap. It is a bit dinged up as people have the tendency to over-tighten them. There are 4 cracked pieces of glass shown in the last two pictures. They are two green pieces and two white pieces on the very edge of the shade that can be repaired. There are a few other tight heat cracks that are not really discernible. The shade displays nicely as the damage is confined to a 3 inch area. The lamp is still a nice example with a lot of textured glass so it really sparkles. Please look at the pictures I have included. Aside from the damage I described all of the solder/copper foil is tight and correct. The lamp is over 100 years old so it is in good shape for its age. This is a Rare Antique Working Signed “Handel” Slag Glass Art Nouveau Electric Table Lamp, made in the USA, during the early 1920′s by the Handel Lamp Company Meriden, Connecticut USA. The Base is Gold Gilded Cast Iron, with a Nice Patina and 3 3/4 Fitter Diameter. It is Signed Underneath “Handel”, as pictured. The Ornate Pyramid Style Slag Glass Shade has Four Caramel Slag Glass Larger Upper Panels, with Four Rectangular Lower Glass Panels in a Metal Art Deco Tercota Overlay. The Lamp Measures approx. The Shade has a 11 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ Base Diameter, with a Height of approx. The Shade is in Great Condition with the Original Finish, and is the Correct Original Shade for the Lamp.
