Chicago Mosaic Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Acorn Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a really cool and I believe fairly rare Chicago Mosaic acorn boarder lamp. Very neat two-tier design with great acorn and oak leaf boarder. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the glass is all original and there are maybe 4 or 5 small cracks in the whole shade. The shade is 18 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 25″ tall. The shade is supported on a better than average 4-footed Chicago Mosaic base which retains its original dark green finish, original sockets, cap and finial. Chicago Mosaic lamps are fairly common, but I have only seen a few of these with this design. If you have ever wanted a very nice and unusual example of one of these, this may be the one for you. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Chicago mosaic leaded lamp antique stained glass arts and crafts slag glass
Up for your consideration is a very large antique leaded glass lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic shade company. This lamp measures almost 30 inches tall and the shade is 24 inches in diameter. The lamp’s base is sculptural resembling an open root tree trunk. This is a very striking lamp when lit and will certainly be the focal point of any room. I have this sitting on a Stickley tabouret table and it looks very nice. The shade is in very good condition for it’s age but with any old shade there are tight heat cracks. They in no way detract from the overall beauty of this lamp. Please look at the pictures I have included. There are no loose pieces of glass and all of the solder/copper foil is tight and correct. I also sent pictures of the lamp to Paul Crist studios and was assured that the lamp was correct in all ways. The lamp has been rewired and it has the correct heat cap and finial. I will entertain offers but anyone who knows what this lamp is understands it is priced well below retail. Box just for the shade and the base will be packed separately in 3ft x 2ft X 1 ft. Chicago mosaic leaded lamp antique stained glass arts and crafts slag glass
Up for your consideration is an antique leaded glass lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic shade company. The pattern is that of stylized lily flowers with a white background. This lamp base measures almost 23 inches tall and the shade is about 18 inches in diameter and 8 inches deep. The base has some wear but is in good working condition and is a signed example. I had to replace the finial so it is not period. This is a fairly rare shade and I have only seen it come up for sale a few times. There is some damage to the heat cap. It is a bit dinged up as people have the tendency to over-tighten them. There are 4 cracked pieces of glass shown in the last two pictures. They are two green pieces and two white pieces on the very edge of the shade that can be repaired. There are a few other tight heat cracks that are not really discernible. The shade displays nicely as the damage is confined to a 3 inch area. The lamp is still a nice example with a lot of textured glass so it really sparkles. Please look at the pictures I have included. Aside from the damage I described all of the solder/copper foil is tight and correct. The lamp is over 100 years old so it is in good shape for its age.
