Antique Puffy Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp Victorian Art Nouveau
This is a beautiful antique slag glass lamp. Caramel “puffy” glass on the shade as well as on the base. The lamp measures 21 1/2″ tall x 18″ wide. Shade has Art Nouveau floral swags and cartouches. The base has two handles and a metal design over the slag glass top and bottom on both sides of the lamp. Two original sockets with pull chains. Lights top, bottom, and top with bottom. Glass is all original. Not signed, so I don’t know who the maker was. Stunning large slag glass lamp. Condition: The lamp appears to be all original except for the wiring and the on/off switch on one side of the base. The cap at the top has a thin chip off the edge, which you can see in the photo taken of the top of the lamp. This is obviously not very noticeable because it’s on the very top of the lamp, but the shade may appear to be just very slightly higher on one side than the other. The base has some loss to the metal design, situated over the glass, at the top, where it appears some of it was cut off, although it looks the same on both sides. This is not something you notice unless you examine the lamp very closely. And there is some loss to the metal design over the glass, on one side, on the bottom of the base (shown). If you were to turn that side of the lamp to the wall, you wouldn’t know there was any loss…. Well, except for the fact that I just told you. The shade appears to be in very good condition. I don’t see any loss and the glass is all intact with no cracks. Thanks for stopping by. Rare Cast Iron and Cast Metal, Slag Glass, Lamp Antique
This Is a Gorgeous Turn of the century Slag glass table lamp with a cast iron shade above a cast metal Base. The base has Sea birds flying over water with fish below. The base is heavy and a magnet will not stick. The finish has been Professionally refinished as close as to original as possible. The lamp has been rewired with Rayon and a period acorn style plug, The original Bryant socket dated 1890 was retained. The glass appears to be the original granite back Kokomo slag glass from that period and has no cracks. The shade measures aprox. 13 1/2″ square, the lamp stands about 19 1/2″ tall with a 6 1/2 square base. We have installed a 3-Level touch dimmer rather than an in-line switch. One of the finest Slag Glass lamps that I have had. Most Unusual bend to the glass.. Filigree in all good condition.. Measures 22 1/2 in tall with a 17 in shade. Nice old green Patina. J. A. Whaley Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a really sweet J. Whaley leaded lamp done with what appears to be a rose style boarder. Just look at the wonderful colors in this one and imagine how nice this lamp would look on a table in your home. Whaley made some really impressive, great looking lamps and this is one of them. Great design, great glass, large and impressive overall. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here as they can do a better job of describing this lamp than I can. With this one, the glass is the key and it is all granite backed in the shade. The result is a. Glow when lit with the flowers just jumping out at you. Whaley also shaded the background glass with lighter colored green at the top going down to darker green near the apron. This also helps to accentuate the flowers. Many of the middle panels are also bent which takes more time to do and is a characteristic of a better quality shade. Its just a really impressive design all the way around. In terms of condition, I see no replaced pieces or repairs and only a few small cracks here and there (the worst of which is shown in image 9). This is a large table lamp with a 20″ diameter shade that stands just about 24″ tall. The base is pot metal with a beautiful original dark brown finish. It has what appear to be its original sockets with “General Electric” labeled shells and satellite ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and an old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you have ever wanted one of these J. Whaley lamps, this is your chance to get a very nice example. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. R. Williamson Nautilus Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp

Well here’s one….. Made by the R. Williamson company of Chicago, IL. Williamson lamps are failry rare and not a lot come up for sale that often. They are very high quality and the designs are unlike other makers….. The present lamp being an excellent example of one. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here as they can do a better job of describing this lamp than I can, but will say that this lamp is in excellent overall condition with no replaced glass and having only 2 small cracks in the entire shade. What a great looking nautical motif with. Shells around the boarder…… I know of no other lamp with. Its just a really impressive design all the way around. This is a full sized table lamp with a 18″ diameter shade that stands 25″ tall. The base is solid cast brass with its original aged brass finish in tact. This finish matches the brass coloring of on the leading perfectly and I believe the two have been together from the beginning. The base has what appear to be its original sockets with “General Electric” labeled shells and ball ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and an old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you have ever wanted a R. Williamson lamp this is your chance to get a very nice example. Second to only Tiffany in my view. I have seen Duffner nasturtium hangers, but this is the first table lamp of that variety that I have ever come across. This Duffner & Kimbelry nasturtium boarder lamp has it all. Awesome solid bronze base. It really does not get any better than this! I will let my pictures do most of the talking here as they can do a better job of describing this lamp than I can, but will say that this lamp is in excellent overall condition with no replaced glass and having only 3 or 4 small cracks in the entire shade.
