This is a great lamp folks and its in very nice original condition. Maker unknown but of the bradley hubbard/miller quality. Empire would be my best guess. Its without damage and has a super arts and crafts feel to it. Its a full sized lamp with the shade measuring 19.5 inches across and the base being 20 inches high. All original paint/patina throughout the base and its in fine working order. A little paint loss here and there on the base as to be expected for a 100 year item. The base is a pottery base not metal even though it looks to be metal. As for the shade, there is no missing or broken filligree segments and all glass panels without breaks, cracks, or losses. This is a very heavy and well made shade for sure. The framework of the shade also without any breaks, cracks, or losses. Thanks for looking and please check out my other lighting options as well. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. I have for sale this super bradley and hubbard leaded tropical overlay lamp. This is a pretty large lamp measuring 22 inches tall with the shade being 19 inches wide. The base with the best sort of arts and crafts design going for it and it of course compliments the shade perfectly. Both base and shade definately started out life together and are still living it wonderfully. All three original bryant sockets with their satellite pulls in excellent working order and the base also with excellent original patina throughout. There are no metalware breaks and the base in fine working order. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord. The shade also in equally nice condition with solid overlay throughout, meaning no breaks and no tropical overlay pieces missing. The glass with vibrant colors of blue, red, greens, yellows and white through out, the colors of a great sunset. The glass without breaks, chips, or cracks anywhere to been. Also i see no signs of repair anywhere on the base or shade. The lamp signed with the b and h triangle logo near the socket cluster. Simply a very rare b and h period arts and crafts lamp, and in excellent overall condition. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. This very ornate slag glass lamp is in very nice condition, other than the flaws mentioned above. It is 20 1/2″ tall with the base being 7 1/4″ in diameter. The color looks as though it is the original on the metal, although I can not be positive if it had been painted this color. Pictures 5 & 6 show the metal a black color, although that color came from the camera, with the pictures 1-4 being the actual color. It is stamped “ES” for the Miller Co. On the bottom of the lamp. What a cool design and great look. I have never seen this lamp before and I dont know who made it. Certainly has that Bradley and hubbard look to it for sure but its not signed. Its a smaller lamp and as such more multi purpose. The base measures 12 and ½ inches tall and has no damage or issues. Its in original patina and is great overall condition as well. The base without damage of any kind. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and it has a small Bryant socket which are quite rare. Onto the shade, The shade measures 5 and ½ inches wide and its 2.5 inches tall. The shade in very nice overall condition and has no breaks or cracks. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00.
