Antique Handel Lamp with unusual elaborate slag glass shade. This is a nice Handel base lamp, stands 22″ tall with a 6″ base. It comes with two Hubbell sockets with Acorn pull chains. The patina is gold like in color and condition consistent with age. The shade has been been attributed to the period of the base. The shade is extremely unusual with six concave sections in brilliant colors (see pictures). The shade is accented with colored gems (cabochon) mostly used by older high end shade designers. No crack or breaks in the base or shade. Lamp is working and has what appears to be a period Acorn plug. I will be listing some top end lamps that I have available. Antique Bakelite Slag Lamp Unusual
Made like the slag glass lamps, but the panes are bakelite. Very unusual antique lamp. I never saw another like it. I believe the finial may have been replaced as it is a little bit loose, but the rest of the lamp appears original. 26 inches tall, 17 inches wide. Recent estate find, had to outbid a few guys but I could not resist purchasing this very unusual flared wing design lamp and shade. I have to say that through all my years of collecting I have rarely, if ever, seen such a rare and unique slag glass shade as this one. This lamp stands out among the many different styles that we see in the usual market place.. Sure to catch your eye. The lamp stands 19 1/2′ tall and believe it or not it is 16 1/2 from tip to tip. The lamp itself is a chocolate brown color in mint condition…. It has a single socket and pull chain. The eight panel shade has such a standout design that is complemented by its condition. The filigree, shade runners and top holder are in mint condition see pictures. The filigree and slag glass panels are free from cracks or breaks as far as I can see. Spectacular Handel base lamp with Unusual Palm Design Shade/Slag Glass
Spectacular Handel base lamp with Unusual Palm Design Shade/Slag Glass Shade. From my personal collection of so many lamps its getting to be that time when I would like to see someone enjoy the magnificent pieces I have collected. This is a mint Handel base lamp, not signed, but if you don’t know what they should look like ask any antique dealer. The base is in perfect mint patina condition… This is a two socket Lamp. The lamp stands 22″ tall with an unbelievable 21″ shade. This shade is what I would consider a palm tree design but call it what you wish. The colors are made up of bronze, reds, yellows, caramel etc.. There are eighteen main veins extending to the bottom of the shade, each vein holds approx 50+ pieces of glass. That equals approx 900 individual pieces of glass, hand applied pieces. The shade has no cracks, breaks… Mint in my opinion….. Just look at the pictures. I should list this higher but it is time for someone else to get the enjoyment out of my hundreds of unique and attractive collection. Nostalgic Lighting Policies READ. Unusual Colorful Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. The entire shade is made out of granite backed glass and when you light it up it just fires up beautifully. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here as they can do a better job of describing this lamp than I can, but will say that this lamp is in excellent overall condition with no replaced glass and having only 2 or 3 small cracks. This is a full sized table lamp with a 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 25″ tall. The base is solid cast pot metal with its original dark greenish finish. It has been recently rewired and comes ready to use and enjoy. I wish I could attribute a maker to this lamp, but I honestly do not know who did it. Its just a great looking overall lamp that will surely please anyone looking at it. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. UNUSUAL 18 8 PANEL BENT SLAG GLASS LAMP SHADE With SPHINX
This listing is for a unusual 18 Eight Panel Bent Slag Glass Lamp Shade. Egyptian revival motif, with 8 bent slag glass panels with overlaid straps and Egyptian sphinx around the lower border. Very nice colorful cold painted highlights of the sphinx and shaped around the border and top of the shade. The paint on these shades are rarely found in this good of condition, usually has been worn off over the years. This one is very nice with minimal wear. The slag glass is colorful and has no damage, cracks or chips. X 3-7/16″ diameter top x 18-3/4″ diameter bottom.
