A RARE & STUNNING ANTIQUE MISSION ARTS CRAFTS RIVIERE STUDIOS BRONZE SLAG GREEN & WHITE GLASS LAMP FROM THE TIFFANY ERA. IT LIGHTS ON THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM. THIS IS NOT THE SHADE YOU USUALLY SEE WITH THIS BASE BUT ITS HOW I FOUND IT IN THE ESTATE AND IT LOOKS GREAT. COULD BE A MARRIAGE OR A CUSTOM PIECE I DONT KNOW? Condition is amazing for its age. It has two very small issues. Lamp was rewired at some point and whoever did it cut a piece of sheet metal from underneath the base to have more room to do the wiring. It doesnt show (unless you turn the lamp upside down) or effect the stability. One of the panels has lost its metal glass support tabs and the glass is sitting in the groove but taped on the sides so it should probably be secured better. No chips or cracks in the glass. Lamp works but I wont guarantee the wiring. Looks good but youre responsible for checking it yourself. Shade is 14.5 across by 9.5 tall. This is an Antique marked Riviere Studios slag glass table lamp in grapevine pattern from the early 1900′s. This lamp is in very good condition with no cracks or knicks and it has very beautiful colors! A extremely beautiful antique all original bronze stylized dolphins overlay on slag glass lamp shade probably made by Tiffany studios or Riviere studios in excellent condition. This shade is a master work certainly made by one of the finest makers. The incredible slag glass that was used in this shade is outstanding full of fire and color with a brilliance rarely seen in other shades the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. The extremely detailed real bronze metal overlay with it’s incredible original dark patina with some slight greening is in perfect condition. The original bronze patina on the leading work is in perfect undisturbed condition. I’ve had for a while now and never saw the crack until I had it outside in the direct sun light for photo’s it’s almost invisible. I will be listing many different antique lamps over the next couple of weeks. Riviere Studios Antique Mission Arts & Crafts Claw Foot Slag Glass Table Lamp
Beautifull Riviere Studios Antique Mission Arts & Crafts, Claw Foot, Slag Glass Table Lamp. The Lamp Stands overall 24″ High with the Shade at 12 3/8″ x 12 3/8. It looks to have been rewired in the 50th or 60s but not properly. One of the light sockets will not light up , most likely due to the wiring. There is a Nickel size hole in the glass and several cracks as shown in the pictures. Still even with the damage, this lamp displays Beautifully. Has beautiful Beaded edges and amazing roped chain edges around the bottom of the shade. The base in one and shade separately. The inside cracks will be taped with scotch tape to prevent further damage. Please feel free and contact me with any questions. Antique Tiffany or Riviere Studios Leaded Stained Slag Glass Boudoir Lamp Base
Here’s a nice, all original, Tiffany or Riviere Studios boudoir lamp base. I have had this for a while but can never seem to find a shade for it. It is old and original, with no broken pieces, repairs or replaced glass. Very odd size to find…. Probably would take a 8-12 shade. The base stands 11 1/4″ tall (to the top of the fitter) and is 4 7/8″ square at the bottom. Unsigned as far as I can tell, no socket and obviously not wired. My guess is — it is a very early a copy of a famous Riviere Studios Co.. Nice rich original patina all around of lamp. The mushroom /dome shape shade has 16″ in diameter by 7″ high, total size of the lamp is 25.5 tall including finial. The lamp shade has an expensive slag glass panels in marbelized hue green color. Metal frame made in very intricate design with ornate etched metal having scenes with storks on lake with blooming water lilies and other flowers. All two replaced sockets in good working order. The lamp base has 3-way switch/please look at the pictures/. No damage at all to the glass panels nor metal frame. Rare Antique RIVIERE STUDIOS PINE NEEDLE Overlay Piano Lamp c. Rare Antique RIVIERE STUDIOS PINE NEEDLE Overlay Piano Lamp , circa 1920s. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is an unsigned Riviere Studios (NY) piano lamp, with green dichroic (Tiffany style) slag glass panels, and bronze (or metal) overlay, c. This company specialized in making lamps and picture frames imitating Tiffany’s “pine needle” pattern, but adopting it in more complex ways when applied to lighting. The quality of the glass is very similar. This is the only example of a “piano-style” lamp I have seen, and it may be unique. The lamp measures 15.5″ tall, and the shade is 13″ x 13″ x 6″. The shade extends outward from the base, so the lamp is 13 deep, as the shade is fixed with screws, and the diagonal portion extent outward. The base is onyx, and was likely added about 10 post production of the lamp to provide better balance due to its weight. The lamp was rewired about 20 years ago. The wiring is sound, the the cord shows minor wear. Three of the four glass panels show single tight heat-related “age” cracks. This is mostly hidden by the filigree, but with one panel it is more obvious (as depicted in the photos). The other two are obscured. I have pictured all 4 panels from the exterior, and the last three photos show the cracks from the interior. The green (verdigris) finish on the lamp base shows even wear throughout, with a pleasing appearance. The filigree is complete, and undamaged, and the lamp is in excellent working order. Although the shade is “fixed”, it can be removed by taking out a single screw. The shade required modest placement, with a small tab which centers in-between on of the ribs. It may seem awkward, until everything is in place, but this is “as constructed, ” very stable when in place, and could be a unique item from this highly collected maker. In the Riviere Studios pattern. The shade in overall very good condition, stable without loss to glass or repairs, only a few tight hairline cracks from heat. With flowers were used granite backed deep red, pink glass panels. The base, finial was made from bronze, lamp base was made as a famous pattern tree trunk and three sockets with an original pull chains and bell finials- are having a nice rich dark black patina.
