Antique Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Brass Base Caramel Green Leaf C. 1915
The lamp stands about 19 to the top of the finial. The shade is 6″ tall and about 14.5″ in diameter. The brass base is 7. I have showed 2 hairline cracks in the shade in the last photos. The shade is solid and has good color, caramel with green leave and ruby panels. The lamp base is brass. It has lost most of it’s lacquer finish but still displays nicely. Strip off the the remaining and have it re-laquered if you choose, and it will be a stunning base. There is 1 tiny ding to the base. The Bakelite protector over the hole for the cord has chipped threading and does not screw in tightly. Electrically it works fine, good cord, wall socket and pull chain. AUTHENTIC Tiffany Studios Oak Leaf & Acorn Leaded Stained Slag Glass Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. For those of you who know me or who have bought from me in the past, I do not typically deal with Tiffany lamps. They are generally just too expensive for what you get, and even worse, there are just too many good copies out there. But every once in a while I do come across one that is unquestionably authentic and is fairly priced….. And this is such a case. This is one of their 18 oak leaf and acorn lamps. I probably do not need to say much more here since if you are familiar with this lamp you know exactly what it is. This one is very nice, and ALL ORIGINAL. 18″ shade (7 1/2″ deep), 22 1/2 tall. Signed TIFFANY STUDIOS 1467 on bottom rim as shown. Extremely nice condition with maybe two or three small cracks. Gold wash on leading is nearly 100%. 3-socket gold dore base is also all original with its original finish, Perkins turn keys (Bryant shells), and ORIGINAL CAP. Base is stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS, NEW YORK, 585 I don’t have this pictured since I ran out…. In keeping with the ALL ORIGINAL theme, the base still has its original wire (I know Tiffany collectors like to get them this way, so I did not have it replaced). This wire is frayed and broken in many places and as such the lamp DOES NOT LIGHT UP RIGHT NOW (the lit images are of the shade put on a different base). If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
