Stunning and rare Handel piano or desk lamp featuring an adjustable goose neck arm with caramel slag glass shade with bronzed metal overlay of faux tile or brick pattern with a central lyre symbol surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath on a bronzed base, c. Base retains the original Handel cloth tag. The base measures 7 1/2? Long x 5? Wide x approx 12″ high, though adjustable, shade is 10 1/2″ wide. Lamp is in Excellent working condition and exceptional cosmetic condition, near mint to mint, no wear. A fine addition to any home or collection. All items come from a smoke free home. Rare Handel Arts & Crafts Wrought Bronze Lantern Table Lamp 1910
Made of copper based wrought bronze. It is not magnetic so there is no iron in it. Weighs over 20 pounds. Bronze Handel plaque is on the underside of the base. It measures 23 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. It has colored slag glass shades. 2 glass pieces are missing and one has a crack near the corner. The wiring is a double cord wrapped in electrical tape. It may need rewiring. The lights turn on. The lamp was made in 1910.
