Up for your consideration is an antique scenic slag glass lamp made by Miller Lamp Co. The two tone shades are blue and purple when unlit, but a the purple turns a fiery orange when illuminated. The base is not original, but a nice match. It has a 1 silver extension (as seen on the photos of the top of the lamp base). The shade has been professionally repainted, with a period color brown finish as the old patina was worn. There is some minor separation (1/8) between a few panels and the very top of the shade. The glass is stable and stays in place. The lamp has been rewired, and both sockets and pull chains work properly. The finial may not be original. The lamp presents well, has been professionally rewired, and is ready for immediate use. The piece measures 24.5″ tall, and the shade is 17″ in diameter. This quote is for the Continental U. Antique Gorgeous Art Nouveau c. 1915 Signed Salem Bros, NY Green Slag Glass Lamp
I’d like to offer for your consideration this very nice slag glass lamp by Salem Bros NY, they were in business from late 1890s til early 1930s. Condition is good with regular wear, all panels are also good and all original. Electrical cord and plug is newer, one socket needs to be fixed because the pull cord doesn’t pull anymore. Gorgeous Antique Slag Glass Dual Lamp Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts 63 Panel. This piece is just gorgeous. I can’t guarantee that the shade goes with the base, but they do look perfect together. I could be wrong though. The bottom of the base is stamped but it is extremely light and I’ve been trying to make it out for a year and I cannot figure out who made it. This piece overall measures as follows with the finial. This piece is approximately 29 in tall, the bottom of the lamp shade opening is approximately 14 in round in diameter. And the base is approximately 7 in in diameter. The entire base is a brass or bronze but it is antique looking so it’s dark. None of the glass pieces have any cracks in any of them out of all of the 63 panels around. The shade itself is 12 in tall. This lamp could just use a nice good cleaning, but it is all intact. It’s very heavy and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Especially when lit as you can see from the photos. If you have any questions please ask.
