Antique Lamb Bros Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Brass Base Caramel Green Leaf C. 1915
The lamp stands about 19 to the top of the finial. The shade is 6″ tall and about 14.5″ in diameter. The brass base is 7. I have showed 2 hairline cracks in the shade in the last photos. The shade is solid and has good color, caramel with green leave and ruby panels. The lamp base is brass. It has lost most of it’s lacquer finish but still displays nicely. Strip off the the remaining and have it re-laquered if you choose, and it will be a stunning base. There is 1 tiny ding to the base. The Bakelite protector over the hole for the cord has chipped threading and does not screw in tightly. Electrically it works fine, good cord, wall socket and pull chain. 1920s ART NOUVEAU SLAG GLASS BOUDOIR LAMP SALEM BROS
It is made of cast iron (base) with a sharply cast metal filigree shade with original amber slag glass panels. These slumped slag glass panels are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. It has been restored in cream & yellow with gold accents. This classy boudoir lamp stands 13 1/2 tall & measures 8 at the widest (shade). The base is 5 wide. The original Leviton socket with push-pole switch is rewired & it has a new wall plug. Weight = 5 3/8 lbs. Light bulb not included. Antique Slag Glass Scenic Lamp Shade Miller, Salem Bros, Bradley & Hubbard
Offered for sale is an antique style slag glass lamp shade with a scenic country-side design. I have no provenance for this lamp shade, but it looks to be a good match for either a Miller, Salem Bros. Or Bradley & Hubbard lamp base. The interior hexagon framing is steel reinforced, whereas the decorative metal is not magnetic (likely zinc and/or nickel with a bronze plating). I detect no significant damage other than some chipping of the slag glass panels only visible from the underside of the shade. The cottage windows design does show some missing muntins in a few of the panels. The lamp shade measures 16-1/2″ across the bottom, it is about 8″ high, and has a 3-1/2 opening on the top. Description: Up for sale is this very nice clean bent panel slag glass lamp. Lamp boasts 6 panels of caramel slag glass and 6 panels of red glass inserts. Red glass inserts highlight a small butterfly accent near the bottom. Lamp has original bronze finish. Has one socke with turn screw. Socket is older but not period to lamp. Wiring is new 18 ga. Wonderful Art Nouveau design with achanthus leaves, geometric designs and butterfly cut out. There is a mark on the bottom but very hard to read. Antique Salem Bros 12 Panel Scenic Slag Glass Table Lamp Beautiful
Antique Salem Bros Scenic 12-Panel Slag Glass Lamp – Beautiful. Excellent condition with some light age related wear. All glass panels are original and intact. Upper panels are light bluish glass with other colors mixed in – while the lower panels are green glass. Shade is in excellent condition and shows scenes of a house with a bridge and trees and other plants in the metal work. The base is in excellent condition with no breakage. This lamp was made by Salem Bros. As marked on the bottom of the base. This lamp has two sockets – Only one socket is currently working. The other will need a new pull switch or repair to the current switch. The cord and plug are in good condition – The cord was replaced at some point. This lamp measures about 22 tall. The shade measures 16 1/2 across at the widest. The base measures 7 diameter. This is a beautiful, authentic 12-panel scenic slag glass lamp. It looks great with its high level of detail and the multi-colored glass. The only flaw is that one socket needs the pull switch mechanism replaced or repaired. The other socket works fine, so the lamp is still usable as is. It uses standard size light bulbs that are readily available anywhere. Feel free to ask me any questions about this great lamp.
