RARE Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Griffin FLOOR Lamp Base
This is an RARE, 100% original and authentic, Handel griffin floor lamp base. I have seen this design in table bases, but not on floor lamps before. This one has a rather thin stem, so I expect it was made for a mica or cloth type shade. It is large and impressive, standing at 67 1/2″ tall with a bottom that is about 12″ in diameter. The base has its original finish, cluster, cap and unusual multi-faceted glass finial. Sockets are marked ARROW and have their original porcelain interiors and tassel ends (which is also why I expect this was for a cloth or mica shade since other Handel items typically come with Hubbells and acorn pulls). It does not appeared to be signed anywhere that I can see, but is 100% authentic period Handel (and not a copy or reproduction). RARE Double Tulip Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Shade #1 of 2
This is a rarer form of the glass tulip shade featuring a beautiful color combination of green and a soft shade of pink. It is larger than the single tulip shades so please take note of the actual size. It can be used in a number of ways. The second smaller shade in my last photo is for sale in a separate listing. Dimensions: 2 1/4″ fitter, 6 1/2″ tall, about 7 across the widest part. Condition: Green / pink glass is in great shape, no cracks. A small leaf of brass is missing as shown in last photo. Rare and beautiful, from my parents estate I offer for your consideration this wonderful large mission arts and craft table lamp. It is a large lamp The shade measures approximately 12 inches from top to bottom, approximately 22 inches wide and the base of the lamp is 16 inches tall not counting the four wooden holders that holds the lampshade. The lamp is in very good shape for its age. I see that it had been rewired for there is a new socket on the lamp. The slag glass is in really nice shape. A long the rim of the shade you have a heart shaped in the center with smaller openings for slag glass. There are tiny cracks, on the four sides. You have to look real hard to find them. This is truly a beautiful mission Arts and craft styled lamp. Please look at all pictures very closely for they are part of the description. Reticulated raised base with four flare feet. Rectangular GREEN SLAG glass column with two stylized dolphins on the side. Top is crowned with Rare figural “Flapper” BALLERINA framed by pierced scroll work. Measurements (approximate): 61 7/8″ tall, with a base diameter of 10″. Lamp is in very good condition. Rare – GORGEOUS – SIGNED – R. Williamson & co lamp. Stamped under foot R. Washington & Jefferson Sts. I see no fractures if there are not worth a mention. Shade has no repairs no spider web smashes. Base the same wonderful original condition. Cap finial wheel all Williamson Parts. Re wired with twisted black cloth cord & vintage plug all ready to use at once! What I know of it, it had to be a family Pass Down to stay in this pristine condition. I’ve heard it called “the OWL” does appear to be a stylized owl face with eye jewels. For sure reflects the baroque tastes of the early 1900′s. Looks like the Tic Toc of Oz. From the book series Frank L. This is a great example of the Williamson Co. Stands 25″ tall 8″ wide foot. This RARE, GORGEOUS & LARGE Antique Vintage Blue and Caramel Slag Glass Lamp with Light Up Base measures 25.5″ tall, 21.25″ from corner to corner across the shade, and is very heavy. You can compare the LARGE size to the soda can next to it. It is a 3-way lamp meaning that you can light up both the top and the bottom at the same time, just the top, or just the bottom depending on the mood that you are looking to set. You can light up each top bulb individually by pulling the chains down. To light up the base, push down the switch on the bottom. To turn it off, pull up the switch and push it down again.
