On offer is a very large vintage ca. 1930s Art Deco slumped Slag Glass hanging lamp. No cracks, breaks, or missing panels. Consists of 144 separate panels of caramel, apple green, and red glass. Measures 23.5 inches at the widest point and 14 high. Weighs over 13 pounds. Has been rewired and re-socketed. Comes with a modern ceiling mounting bracket and app. I don’t declare items as gifts. Huge Antique Vintage Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Lamp MultiColored Empire Or Miller
Hello and thank you for looking. For your consideration is a stunningly beautiful antique slag glass lamp. The lamp is a very large and heavy 8 panel piece. It measures 26 in height and the shade measures 22 in diameter. Neither the shade nor the base are marked. His impression that this lamp is most likely made by Empire, with a less likely possibility it is a Miller. I have looked through hundreds of pics of slag glass lamps made by these two makers, and while Ive not found an exact duplicate, I have found several Empire lamps that have nearly identical filigree and a few Empires that have this exact color combination in the slag glass. The shade contains a gorgeous and rare combination of colored glass, which I have heard referred to as confetti or rainbow glass. As you can see, with the lamp turned on, the shade explodes in blues, greens, pinks, yellows, creams, and orange. There is also a separate layer of glass along the lower periphery of the shade that contains the classic caramel and cream colors often seen in these lamps. Overall the shade is in quite good condition. There is one panel that has some cracks which I have zoomed in on in one of the pictures. Additionally, as you can see, new light sockets have been installed. HUGE Antique Chicago Mosaic Leaded Slag Stained Glass Floral Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a massive example of a Chicago Mosaic lamp done with bright daisies. The absolutely huge parasol shaped leaded glass shade is a full 24″ in diameter and the lamp stands an impressive 28″ tall. Just look at the detail in the shade with a great selection of glass some of which is even bent to. The flowers are bright and vibrant and the upper ones are. Made out of rainbow colored glass. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in just about any setting. In terms of condition, there are a couple of cracks here and there, but nothing major. These are to be expected in a 100 year old shade. The trumpet style base has a nice fluted column and an especially nice decorated bottom designed with petals that match the flowers in the shade above. It comes with what appear to be its original sockets each dated. 26, 1907 with their. Porcelain interiors and pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a large and impressive lamp made by a quality maker that. Up for your consideration is a very rare and large B. Radley and Hubbard slag glass lamp, with the triangle on the underside of the base. It is the largest size of table lamp made by B & H, see my photo for an average sized Handel comparison. It is 28 inches tall and the shade is 26 inches wide. All the glass without damage and great coloration, the hand-wrought bronzed and riveted metalwork of the shade also without any breaks or damage. The base recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and in fine working order. The sockets all original and are signed Bryant. The base appears to have been professionally repainted, with a green undercoat, and various mixed metallic paints. This is only one of 3 examples of this highly-desirable lamp that I have seen. HUGE WILKINSON SLAG GLASS PANEL LAMP. Is a really big unsigned Wilkinson slag glass panel lamp. The lamp stands 26.5″ tall and the shade has a maximum diameter of 19″. All of the decorative filigree is present on the shade. The focal point of the base is a cameo design bordered by a ram’s head on either side. The number on the base is 250. THE LAMP IS IN ORIGINAL CONDITION The shade rest and finial are original to this base to my knowledge.. CONDITION: THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE SHADE.. SOME PANELS HAVE CRACKS IN THEM.. AT LEAST 5 PANELS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. AS THEY HAVE CRACKS IN THEM OR HAVE POORLY BEEN REPAIRED. THERE IS ONLY 1 ACORN PULL AND THE OTHER 2 ARE BALLS. HUGE! Antique 8 Panel Curved Slag Glass Lamp Shade Caramel & White
HUGE ANTIQUE CURVED SLAG GLASS SHADE. I picked this piece up at an estate sale in Northern NY State about 7 years ago. At that time they told me that it had been brought over here from Scotland by one of their ancestors and it had hung in a large hall. They said it had housed a gas fed lamp. I have no way of knowing if this is true, but that’s the story I got! This shade is HUGE!!! Measures a full 22 inches in diameter, and approx. 13 inches in height. The Crown at the top measures at 9 inches across. ALL slag glass panels are in excellent condition. While photographing this, I did notice some of the decoration had split away from the frame… About a 3-4 inch split(please see pics) It looks to me like this could be fixed w/ just a touch of JB Weld. It does not affect the structure or stability of the shade. There is also a little bit of paint loss on the crown, but i’m guessing this piece is well over 100yrs old, so that’s to be expected.
