The item came from clean home where it was cared for and displayed for the enjoyment of others. Unseen before it is now offered for a quick sale. Please ask any questions! My guess is — it is a very early a copy of a famous Riviere Studios Co.. Nice rich original patina all around of lamp. The mushroom /dome shape shade has 16″ in diameter by 7″ high, total size of the lamp is 25.5 tall including finial. The lamp shade has an expensive slag glass panels in marbelized hue green color. Metal frame made in very intricate design with ornate etched metal having scenes with storks on lake with blooming water lilies and other flowers. All two replaced sockets in good working order. The lamp base has 3-way switch/please look at the pictures/. No damage at all to the glass panels nor metal frame. Arts And Crafts Antique Vintage Slag Glass Bradley And Hubbard Handel Era
That’s an unbelievable savings. Maker unknown but of quality for sure similar to bradley and hubbard or charles parker. The green glass is very alive and i only used 7 watt bulbs in these photos to show how vibrant the glass is. This is a full sized lamp measuring in at 22 inches tall and 17 inches wide. The base without issue and in fine working order. No damage at all to report. The base having no metalware breaks and it is finely detailed throughout. As for the shade, no damage to report which means no broken or cracked or chipped glass pieces. All the glass holding tabs present and accounted for and the same goes for the filligree. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Arts And Crafts Slag Glass With Overlay Boudior Lamp, Handel, B&H, Tiffany Era
The dimensions of this u nidentified boudoir or accent lamp are 14 inches in height and the shade is 5 1/2 inches square. The shade is just over 5 inches high. It is from the arts and crafts era and I would say circa 1920. It has slag glass panels that are covered with a filigree of trees. It is a very well made lamp with thick gauge metal that has a bronze like patina. I t is made with fine detail and craftsmanship. There are no breaks or cracks in the glass or metal filigree. All pieces appear to be original to the lamp. It appears to have been rewired at sometime, but not period correct wire. I would say excellent condition, check the pictures for your own opinion. It uses a candelabra base small light bulb. I have had this in my home for a couple years and I just decided to replace it with a different lamp. It is hard to get pictures that show the true color of glass lamps. I would say the first picture represents the best likeness to what the lamp would look like in your home. Great little accent lamp that can be used in many different ways. Size of shade is 17 3/4 in diameter. Just a few /3-4/ glass panels have heat line cracks, keeps strong structure and in almost an excellent condition. Slightly dirty, which is ok — for lamp over 110 years old. The shade has intertwining fleur-de-lis pattern with nicely matched glass / changing from white off to light blue to light turquoise colors/ that really accentuates the design of shade. About lamp base — simply trumpet style is still of superior quality and was made from a solid bronze. Up for your consideration is this a rare and seldom seen on e bay market full floral leaded stained Slag Glass large table lamp made by Royal Art Glass Company in “Hollyhock” design, Circa 1910, s. That lamp was the largest version and most beautiful made by that company. Look at the finial and heat cap — really nice ornate design, has three original sockets. Look at the lamp base -_– how is beautiful it!!! Size of base is 27.5″ tall by 10″in diameter at the bottom. Look at the shade! It has ONLY 3 heat cracks in lower band of stained panels. Really , almost Mint condition for lamp shade which is over 110 years old! Size is lamp shade is 21 in diameter. This is a documented lamp! Arts & Crafts J A Whaley Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an extremely nice example of J A Whaley’s work in stained glass table lamps. I have owned a few of these petal form shades, but hands down this is the very best one I have seen. The glass in both the petals and the background is just outstanding. The petals are done with a mix of green and brown glass that looks different in each petal. The yellow is some of that really nice stuff that Bradley & Hubbard commonly used….. Deep, dark, and highly colorful. Together they make for one fantastic looking shade. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any arts & crafts setting. In terms of size, the shade measures 20″ in diameter and the lamp stands about 25″ tall. In terms of condition I do not see even a single crack in any of the glass panels….. This lamp was well cared for! The base as well retains its original finish and its wonderful cast cap that is so famous of Whaley lamps. It has what appear to be its original Bryant labeled sockets with their original. Interiors and ball ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a large and impressive lamp made by a quality maker in the true arts and crafts style. It is a beautiful example of J A Whaley’s work and is in very fine condition overall. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
