Leaded and Slag Caramel Glass Lamp A G Kaufman Powerlamp Antique Table Lamp
Extremely rare turn-of-the-century electrified A. Kaufman leaded slag glass table lamp. These originally used Coleman burners, however this looks to have been professionally electrified sometime in the 1920′s or 1930′s with beautiful period-correct brass hardware with the perfect amount of patina to match the lamp. This is a rare opportunity to get one of these century-old leaded slag glass lamps that’s period-correct but also USABLE without having to worry about cleaning out gas jets or burning down your house/office. The original base gas tank is there, but in doing a complete retrofit the burner was removed. Looks great this way. These Kaufman stems come up for sale quite a bit, but without the shade since so few weren’t broken of the last 100+ years. This is a rare example with NO CRACKS or chips. The metal trim however has at least some manufacturing defects (almost all of them did) where pieces from the cast weren’t completely formed. See the last 4 photos, specifically photo 11 to see for yourself. In addition to having no cracks or chips, this early example of slag glass actually has bits of iron slag visible in it. It’s just a fantastic example of early unique glasswork. 22″ tall and the shade is just short of 12″ in diameter. Metal edges of the shade are beautifully hand-formed and also show no cracks. Antique SIGNED HANDEL Slag Glass Table Lamp
Up for your consideration is a beautiful signed Handel table lamp with a basket weave overlay and floral border. It is ALL original! The 3 light sockets are Hubbell, all have the acorn pulls. The slag glass is in perfect condition and the painted vine roses are still vibrant in color and in excellent condition. The filigree is in great condition too, with one small area of separation in between panels (shown in pictures). Both the base and shade are signed Handel. The cloth cord is in excellent condition. Handel Reverse Painted Thistle Lamp Leaded Slag Glass Tiffany Pairpoint Era
For sale is a Handel table lamp having a stylized floral design surrounding the top of the shade with brightly colored flowers with yellow stems all in a white outline with turquoise and yellow dots. The floral design is all set against black a background that makes the floral design stand out when lit. The shade is finished with a wide band around the bottom edge with leaf and scroll designs against multi-colored polka dot background. The 18 inch diameter shade is signed Handel 6837. Sometimes Handel would make lamps on commission and this is likely one of those lamps. The shade rests on an original Handel trumpet style ribbed base with leaves imprinted around the base and has an overall height of approximately 25 ½ inches. The base has a dark brown finish with green patina and is guaranteed to be all original. The base has a four socket gooseneck cluster with Hubbell sockets and long acorn pull changes. The base is stamped n the bottom Handel. There are not too many bases out there that are better in appearance and quality than this base. This is an outstanding one of a kind lamp. Rare Duffner & Kimberly leaded glass lamp! Base cap finial shade. All Duffner & Kimberly. The design is unusual but what a colorful shade with examples of all the many colors of. Glass they had to make shades. Design looks to be someone in the design dept. Was drinking too much Cocaine Cola or something. Some call it “the Gourd” I’ve heard “sheep Head” “Fan Blades” your shrink may be interested in what you see when looking at this shade. I see a great example of the glass & workmanship of the Duffner & Kimberly co. Huge lamp stands 24 tall. Shade is a full 20″ x 7″. Last picture shows tight fractures in one spot of shade. Antique Handel Leaded Slag Glass Table Lamp Tree Base Signed
American Art Nouveau Handel Lamp with a. Domed shade with shaped rim edge. The brown patinated naturalistic base is formed as a tree trunk sitting on a wood base that someone added, it is probably signed underneath. The shade is impressed with Handel on it in beautiful green marble slag glass and cream on the lower edge. The design over the cream slag glass is of leaves which would be for the top of the tree. There is a crack in the one panel of the cream slag glass that goes down to split it in two. The other crack is in a corner which I have shown both in the picture, they do not detract from the beauty of the lamp. There are three sockets for the bulbs and it has an old cord. A Handel leaded slag glass and patinated metal table lamp, circa 1910. The shade is 18 5/8 inches across and 9 1/2 inches high. Antique Miller green Slag Glass Boudoir Lamp 2 x signed Handel, B&H period
I’ve had this antique slag glass Miller boudoir lamp in my collection for 7 or 8 years. It is a rare form, and I like it, but it’s time to sell and make some room. It is 16 tall to the top of the finial and has a 6′ base. The lamp is signed twice. The socket says Miller Lamps and the base is marked E M & Co 1128. The shade is vented and has 6 sides. It is 10″ at the widest dimension, 8 1/2″ across the parallel sides, and 6 1/4 tall. Over all it is in pretty good antique condition. It does have some wear to the finish as you can see. The satin finish glass is complete and unbroken. That being said, it does have one replaced panel. When I first got it I had a local gentlemen make the repair. He did a very good job with the curve and color match. For some reason the difference in color shows more on the inside. From the outside, weather lit or unlit , it is barely discernible, and would have to be pointed out to most people. 1 and 2 show the repaired panel. At the time the glass was repaired I also had a small crack in the shade frame soldered. It can be seen in picture 11. It’s quite solid and has given me no trouble. The shade is straight and has all off it’s glass tabs. Generally I use a 40 watt small size bulb in this lamp as seen in the pictures. That seems to show the glass off the nicest. It gives off as nice minty green light when lit that is impossible to reproduce in photos. The push pull lamp socket works very well and has been rewired with period appropriate cloth covered cord. Shade is in very good condition, no damage, only 2 or 3 heat line cracks. Has hue green – light green – white colors slag glass panels, very nice old lead work and nice dark brown patina on it.
