BRADLEY & HUBBARD Signed 18D Slag Glass Bronze Table Lamp 6 Panel Art Nouveau
This is a fantastic antique BRADLEY & HUBBARD Bronze Base Lamp with Six-Panel Caramel Slag Glass Lampshade. Lamp signed at top of base as shown in photos. Undulating Art-Nouveau ribbons of Irises surround a six-panel slag glass shade. Bronze base emerges like a strong stem to a most beautiful flower. Beautifully designed and extremely substantial, weighing nearly 20 lbs. Lamp measures approximately 23 1/2H including shade. Shade diameter is approximately 18D. Slag glass shows no chips. Some age related wear (surface scratches) are visible to the surface of some glass panels, and we were able to see what appears to be one tiny hairline on one panel that was not possible to capture in photos. This lamp was discovered in very dirty condition, and while it was detailed for photos, some additional detailing may be needed for the most discerning customer. 6 Sided Mission Green & Gold Slag Glass Lamp Shade Arts & Crafts Hexagon Fitter
Total Mission /Arts & Crafts style iron lattice, green slag glass, 6 sided hexagon Lamp Shade. To be honest, I’m disappointed I’m being made to sell this. I’m told that I keep to much, especially the “good stuff”. Mission style with an industrial feel. I think I like this so much because theres this high brow looking glass, just like Moss agate with lots of green & brown with gold sparkles, then it has this industrial cage like a 19c. With antique bronze copper finish that has an overall “rusty” look, without being rust! If it’s not the original finish it was done by a clever artist or someone that got very lucky. Theres Two alternating patterns (spirals and squiggles) that have been scratched into the wet paint to show the green under color. The kicker might be the hex fitter. Measurement for the fitter run smaller because the glass holders are below the ruler in the picture. Some of the glass holders have been re-solderd… No other repairs, or cracks, chips, or damage I see. Its a little over 5 1/2 tall. It looks taller because of how wide it is, 14 1/2. I wish I could find a hexagon shade top to keep that great look, but a 4 1/2 round one will probably have to do until the right one shows up. Still A brilliant shade I’ve started thinking it may have been an oil lamp shade, but I can’t see where a chimney bracket was every attached anywhere? Description: Up for sale is this very large Bradley & Hubbard table lamp dating to circa 1920. Lamp boasts 8 panels of bent slag glass of caramel color. Creates a very soft warm atmosphere. Base has three sockets that allow various levels of light. These lamps were made long before 3 way light bulbs were invented! The Bradley Hubbard signature on this lamp is found a the top of the base. Lamp is made in a classic design that will accent almost any decor. Shade and base have a matching urn design. Even the finial has a pine cone or pineapple design that matches. Lamp has been re-wired with modern 18 ga. Electric cord and is ready for service but with all electical appliances please examine carefully before using. This 1930s Art Deco desk lamp is made of brass with a cast iron loader under the base. The brass was cleaned, hand polished & lightly sprayed with a brass protector. Large Antique ART NOUVEAU MILLER Slag Glass Lamp w/ Lit Base c. Large Antique ART NOUVEAU MILLER Slag Glass Lamp w/ Lit Base , circa 1910. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a fine antique slag glass lamp, in the Art Nouveau style, c. The lamp was made by Miller, and features a lighted base, providing an excellent display. The lamp is large, measuring 23″ tall, with a heavy 19.5″ in diameter shade. The shade is made out of gilded spelter, of which some has flaked or rubbed off (as shown). Also, the hexagonal affixed heat cap is not perfectly centered. These are not issues that one would typically notice. The blue color is rare, as almost all Miller lamps with lit bases are in a caramel/tan color. An original matched base and shade pair in this color of glass is a rare find. The glass is blue, with white and light red swirls, both on the base and the shade. It is in excellent condition, completely original, and free of breaks or chips. The filigree is intact, and free of restoration. There is some discoloration to the interior metal rim, where it is silvery. This is minor, inside the shade, and not seen unless the shade is removed.
