This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The base measures 24 inches tall and the shade is 19 inches wide, so this is a large lamp folks. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has a three socket cluster and the patina original to the base and very nice throughout. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 2-4 or so that are here or there and as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. Very nice patina on the leading throughout as well. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. What a cool design and nice look. Right or wrong, i always referred to this type of top and bottom lamp as a lighthouse lamp. Its very large with the base measuring 25 inches tall and the shade 19 inches wide. The base has no damage or issues. Its got its original patina throughout and its in very nice condition. It’s been recently rewired with period style correct cloth cord. The sockets and pulls original as well. No breaks in the glass of the base and its in fine working order. The shade in equally nice condition and also having no breaks or glass losses. I see no filligree losses or breaks either. The patina and the design work perfectly matching the bases as well as the paint highlights so you know the isnt a marriage. All in all a very nice period lamp and not all that seldom scene especially in this nice of overall condition. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. This is as good as it gets for rarity in a b and h lamp. The dolphin base measures 27.5 inches tall with the shade being 22 inches wide. The base weighs a ton and as far as im concerned the best base b and h ever made. The base properly signed with the b and h triangle logo at the top near the cluster. The base in original patina which obviously matched the patina on the shade. Its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and is in fine working order. The sockets are all old but probably not original although they do have great old acorn pulls. As for the shade, all the glass without cracks and in fantastic color and the metalware filligree of the shade also without any breaks or damage and the filligree all present and accounted for. This lamp was filthy when i got it, just filthy. I dont normally like to clean nice old dirty lamps but in this case i did, it was that dirty. I mention this for the novice super picky that dont understand 100 year old ways. Thanks for looking and please check out my other lighting auctions as well. THIS IS A GORGEOUS WARM GREEN SLAG GLASS “SILHOUETTE” TABLE LAMP. THE LAMP HAS 6 PANELS AND IS A BIT HEAVY! THIS LAMP IS CIRCA. LATE 1910′S AND ON THE BOTTOM IT IS SIGNED “RAINAUD” AND NUMBERED. THE SOCKETS ARE A DOUBLE CHAIN PULL. THE SHADE HAS 6 PANELS OF GREEN SWIRLED SLAG GLASS WITH GILDED METAL OVERLAY. THE OVERLAY HAS A SCROLLED DESIGN THAT GIVES THE SHADE A “SILHOUETTE” LOOK WHEN IT IS LIT. TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE SHADE IN THE IN THE 7TH PHOTO, YOU WILL SEE A FEW OLD REPAIRS AND REGILDING TO THE METAL THAT HAVE HELD UP WELL. THERE ARE A FEW SEAMS IN THE METAL ON THE FILIGREE OVERLAY. THE SLAG COLORING IS REALLY NEAT BECAUSE WHEN THE LAMP IS LIT IT CHANGES COLOR BY ADDING YELLOWS. THE BASE HAS THE ORIGINAL FLAME FINIAL, AND THE DARK METAL HAS FADED GILT ACCENTS. THE RIBBED COLUMNS ON THE BASE SPIN. ALL OF THE SLAG GLASS PIECES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. ALL OF THE ELECTRIC IS IN TERRIFIC CONDITION, HOWEVER WHEN THE LAMP WAS REWIRED THEY KEPT THE ORIGINAL SOCKETS, AND THE CHAIN PULL WITH THE BRASS CHAIN CAN COME LOOSE IF YOU PULL IT WITH TOO MUCH FORCE. (IT JUST PUSHES BACK INTO PLACE) BOTH SOCKETS HAVE SLIGHT MOVEMENT. AGAIN THIS PIECE CARRIES A BIT OF WEIGHT! THE LAMP BASE MEASURES 23 1/4 TALL TO THE TOP FINIAL, AND THE SHADE IS APPROX. WE MAKE SURE THAT WE MEASURE TWICE AND DO OUR BEST TO DESCRIBE EACH ITEM. FEEL FREE TO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER LISTINGS FOR SOME FUN AND RARE ITEMS! This is a superb boudoir electric table lamp. The shade has 4 panels of textured glass. It is 7 square at the bottom. It sits on a 4 prong spider (holder). The height of the lamp is 14. The base has one pull chain socket. It had a white cord. The diameter of the base is 5. It is all ready to go. This lamp and others I have listed came from the collection of an elderly gentleman. All sales are final. I might have the shade professionally boxed. There might be something you just can not live without. I will be listing much more vintage lighting soon. Although unmarked it is pictured in the Handel book. The shade has nice slag glass panels with a nice art nouveau floral design. The base of the lamp has a bronze shaft. It’s in excellent condition with no damage and is in excellent working condition. Had a new cord put on back in the 1950s or 1960s and it’s still very good. There are a few clips missing on the inside of shade but the glass is held strongly in. The shade measures about 16.5″ wide and the entire lamp is about 19.5″ tall. Pictured on page in Defalco Book on Handel lamps. Again, we cannot find and markings on shade or base. We can only go by reference book. This is an un marked lamp believed to be a Handel from reference books. As handel did not always sign their base and shades sometimes it’s hard to guarantee authenticating. It measures 30 inches tall and the shade is 22 inches wide, so this is a very large lamp here folks. There is no damage at all to report on the base. Its solid brass with newly rewired proper gold colored period style cord and newer sockets. Its in fine original patina throughout. No metalware damage to mention either. Certainly a quality maker in line with handel or bradley and hubbard. As for the shade i see 2-3 tight cracks in the glass that mean absolutley nothing because they are hard to find, dont stand out when lit, and with probably 300 pieces of glass in the shade, its expected. The shade well constructed and has no pieces of glass missing nor loose because the leading is tight throughout. The leading of the pieces very heavy and thick throughout. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it.
