4-Light 1920s Floor Lamp White, Gold Gilt, Slag Glass
This classic 57 inch tall floor lamp dates the 1920s. It has a large socket at the center top, surrounded by three candelabra style lights with sockets sized for regular light bulbs. The cast iron base is sponged gold over white with a gold gilt painted circular inset with an embossed scrolly leaf pattern. A clambroth slag glass insert with streaks of green and gold is mounted between the base and ribbed metal column. The white paint has some minor chipping to the center column. The switch knob controlling the three candle lights is missing, though the switch can still be turned without the little knob. The wiring will need to be replaced or repaired, as the original silk-wrapped cord is patched to the brown lamp cord with electrical tape at the base. The lamp has no rust and no signs of abuse or harsh treatment. Almost all my items are antique or vintage and come from a variety of sources. Very nice Handel Harp Floor Base with painted shade. I have to say this is one of the nicest Handel Lamps Ive seen. The lamp is all correct. Ill start with the shade. Shade is 10 Dia. 5 1/2 tall with a 2.25 fitter. The shade is properly signed and numbered as shown. Great heavy texture paint on the outside that really fires up a very nice woodland scene. There are no cracks or repairs that I see. These shades where molded so you see the mold line on the inside. This is not a repair. The base is signed on the bottom as shown. Base is 57 tall with a 12 foot. This base has a fantastic brown and green patina. Everything on this base is correct including the orig. Hubbell Socket with orig. The base has been rewired with cloth brown period wire and has a orig. Just a great Handel example looking for a new home. Antique Art Deco Vaseline Glass Bridge Floor Lamp Jadeite Slag Ornate Vtg 1930′s
A Beautiful RESTORED Ornate Vintage Circa 1930s. Art Deco Jadeite/Slag/Uranium/Vaseline Glass Bridge Floor Lamp with Shade. The ornate BASE is marked S604. This is a PERFECT example of the Beautiful Art Deco Design used in the 1920′s & 30′s. This lamp has been totally restored and yet still has the patina that you would expect from a lamp from the 1930′s. All of the brass parts have been machine polished to a high golden brass shine (including the brass bulb socket and shade holder). The brass poles show the intricate detail in the etched design very nicely. All of the cast iron and metal parts have been thoroughly cleaned and have had the rust and debris removed and they are left with some of the original gold paint, and the “marbled” metal & gold painted patina finish looks amazing. Once the base was cleaned it revealed an embossed ID of “S 604″. We do not know what maker this is, so if anyone would like to help, it would be appreciated. It has been rewired with a “Twisted Cloth Wrapped” Vintage Style cord and a new vintage looking plug. And of course it works great! The THREE Jadeite (or Vaseline/Slag) glass globes are all in excellent shape. No chips or pieces missing. The original cork sleeve that holds them securely is still there. And of course it glows under the ultra-violet light. We’ve selected a very nice Frosted Ribbed Dome Glass Shade which measures 6 1/2″ at the base width and 4″ tall. It goes well with the style, but is also easy to replace if you have something else. The lamp can easily swivel to be at either an angle or straight up and down. 10.75 bridge length. 10.5 diameter base. You’re going to LOVE this Lamp!
