Antique Iron Olive Wreath Cattail Curved Caramel Slag Glass Panel Table Lamp
This is a stunning original antique (1920s) cast iron table lamp with original curved caramel slag glass shade. The base is highly detailed with raised olive leaf and ribbon pattern, and each shade panel features a cutout filigree overlay with olive leaves and bows across the bottom and leafy floral patterns around the edges of the glass with cattails near the top, and large teardrop opening in the center. This lamp is in excellent condition throughout. There are no cracks, repairs, or missing pieces anywhere on the lamp or shade, and the original gold finish is intact. The base has a slightly more aged patina but might be able to be cleaned, and the shade looks near mint. There is very little wear and no visible damage to the shade. The original finial is intact. The outer components of the sockets and the pull chains are original, but one of the sockets inside has been replaced. The other one seems to be stuck in the “on” position, and the previous owner attached a new cord with a switch so the lamp can be turned on and off by the switch instead. Both sockets work using the cord switch. The sockets are marked P&E and the lamp base looks like it is signed, but not clear enough to be read. It was numbered 810 by hand. The lamp measures 24″ H x 14 1/2″ in diameter at the shade.

It has imperfections in this finish which adds to it uniqueness. The lamp has four panels. Each panel has the floral wreath. The base is appropriate in size for the shade. The base also has the floral design. The lamp is in working condition. Please look at the ninth picture showing the lamp lit. I used an LED bulb which seems to have been too strong making the picture difficult to show. A chandelier 40 W bulb may be a better choice. This wonderful Art Nouveau Style lamp will be a wonderful addition to your home. It will be lovely and enhance any Decour. Vintage Slag Glass 4 Panel Lamp metal wreath design Final Reduction
This gorgeous, vintage, slag glass and metal lamp is in wonderful condition. No cracks chips or damage. At one point I believe back in the 1950′s, it was rewired. The current plug does not have the newer, larger sized prong. The glass lampshade is held in place with a round brass cover and finial. Both the cover and the finial have the patina correct with the lamp’s age. The lamp turns on and off with a pull chain which operates easily. There are 4 glass panels. Each side of the lampshade has a Metal floral garland. A partial description would describe the base as intricately decorated with what appears to be the heads of famous statesmen in wreaths (much like a coin), animal heads and fleur de lis.
