Antique Handel / Unique Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is one of a few Handel / Unique lamps that I bought recently. The combination of a Unique shade with a Handel base is quite common and is 100% fine, as long as you know you are getting an old shade (and not a more recent reproduction as they are out there). Unique made so many styles of this kind of shade with repeating periwinkle. Flowers mixed in a maze of green leaves. In this one they are dark orange (which is unusual) and put on the bottom with a great irregular boarder. The background glass is actually light green, but this does not show up well in my lighted pictures. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the shade is in excellent condition with maybe 5 or 6 small cracks and there are no replaced pieces. The shade is 17 1/2″ in diameter and 9″ deep, and the lamp stands 25 1/2 tall. The heavy bronze base is signed HANDEL in script on the underside as shown. It has its original cap, finial a. Nd set of 3 Hubbell labeled sockets. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. Bradley & Hubbard Antique Slag Art Glass Unique Piano Desk Student Banker Lamp
This is a unique and beautifully ornate Bradley & Hubbard antique leaded glass desk lamp. The shade is swirled green and white with purple. The stand is brass with a beautiful design. And the metal embellishment on the casing of the shade is stunning. The wiring and attachments all look to be original. The base is covered with a green felt circle. There is a pull chain from the main light fixture. There are some rubs on the brass (shown in the pictures). It is 10″ high and 10″ long. The width at the shade is 7 1/2″ and at the base it is 5″. Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Miller, Bradley & Hubbard Unique Pittsburgh style
This is a really good looking Bent Slag Glass lamp that is not marked. The large lamp stands 23 inches tall on its 7 inch beautifully colored sculpted base with shade. The original colors are well patinated and make a really nice looking lamp. Check out the photos. The bent variegated tan slag glass shade is 18 or 20 inches in diameter (corners or flats) and 8 1/4 inches tall. The nicely colored overlay is all present with its original coloring. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfectly. The interior of the sockets have been replaced using the original shells to retain the great looks of the lamp. Metal Art Deco Lady Woman Figural Boudoir Lamp With Unique Vtg. Slag Glass Shade
This lamp is very unique and so lovely. It was possibly cold painted, but I’m not certain. It really doesn’t have much wrong with it, slight paint loss and 3 very small cracks on the bottom around the opening (doesn’t affect integrity of the lamp at all). The 2 1/4 fitter slag glass shade has the most wonderful and unusual designs on it, super gorgeous colors and it has no cracks. With the shade on, it stands approximately 15 inches tall. Leaded glass lamp unique art glass company handel era arts and crafts slag glass
Up for your consideration is a nice old lamp attributed to the Unique Art Glass Company. The shade has an irregular apple blossom border and a green/white geometric dome pattern. The shade measures 16 1/2 inches wide and 9 inches tall. The base is 8 inches wide at the foot and 22 inches tall with a single pull socket. The base has a wonderful rich brown patina and has been rewired with a cloth covered cord right for the period. Close examples of this lamp can be seen in Paul Crist’s book “Mosaics II” on page 74. The only difference is the color of the flowers…. The pattern is the same. The lamp is unsigned but most certainly an example of the Unique Company’s work. There are a few very tight hairline heat cracks and 2 specific tiles that are noticeably damaged but none are loose and all the leading and copperfoil are correct. The lamp can be turned so that neither of these tiles are displayed and it does not take away from the lamps beauty. Local pick-up in the Washington D. Metropolitan area is available. This lamp is over 100 years old and she is very sturdy and still maintains the small wire hoop that was soldered to the interior of the shade to display a hanging price tag. Thank you for looking. Rare Antique 21 X 31 Tall Unique Lamp Co. Leaded Stained Slag Glass Table Lamp
Please read the condition report on this lamp thoroughly as there are condition issues. This is an amazing lamp by the Unique Art Glass and Metal Co. It is enormous measuring 21” across the dome and 31” high without the cap. It is undoubtedly By the Unique lamp Co. And the tag ring is still attached inside on the shade. The glass is just gorgeous when lit with a wonderful smoky opalescence that makes the bottom band glow and it is stunning when lit at night. I have looked through my books and cannot find this particular pattern so it may be a rare one. Colors are amazing and the lamp is as beautiful lit as it is unlit. Leaded lamps out of NYC are getting very rare and hard to find especially this size. I believe this was the largest size they made in a table lamp. Here’s a great periwinkle style Handel/Unique lamp with the most colorful bright orange flowers that I have ever come across in one of these. The flowers are also much larger than the typical periwinkles that I have seen. Great lamp with lots of color and a super cool irregular boarder design. 16″ diameter shade, 22″ tall. I see a few small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. The square four footed signed Handel base looks just perfect with this shade.. It has its original Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking old plug and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice one, folks, so don’t let it get by. Most of these Handel/Unique lamps that I have seen out there have periwinkle designs…… This one is quite different with a band of tulips! Great lamp with lots of color and a super cool design. 16″ diameter shade, 24″ tall. I see a few small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. The trumpet style base has a beautiful frogskin-like finish that matches the green in the shade just perfectly. It has its original long Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking old plug and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice one, folks, so don’t let it get by.
