RESTORED Antique Vtg Pittsburgh Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Tiffany Era
Gorgeous Original Antique Lamp. Lovely RESTORED antique condition! Working well and freshly rewired with vintage style cloth cord. This is a heavy 14 pound well-made piece with a cast iron base and stunning slag glass shade. Beautiful painted finish and polished brass. The lamp is signed on the interior of the base: PLB&GCo, which is Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company – a contemporary of Handel, Tiffany, Miller, etc. The brass socket covers are marked Monowatt, which was a socket maker in the early 1900′s. New pull-chain sockets have been installed inside the original brass Monowatt socket sleeves, and they’re working great. A beautiful piece of art and lighting history. The glass has no chips or cracks. The brass has been polished and has no cracks or dents. The painted finish has been refreshed. Use 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts each (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light). Total height – base to the top of the finial: 23. Width across at edges of the glass shade: 18″ diagonally, 15 1/2″ straight across at flat sides. You’re going to LOVE it! Please see all photos for detailed description.

Up for your consideration is a outstanding Antique Mythical dolphin Stained glass slag Hotel Chandelier lamp Very heavy.. Not exactly sure how this thing was mounted.. Obviously missing the chain and electrical ballast… It’s very heavy. Certainly a one of a kind piece. It’s wrapped with mythical dolphins or coy fish. It has paint loss.. I don’t see any cracks in the Stained glass. There is one place where the fish’s fins are supposed to come together, but it looks like it’s either missing or maybe it was meant to be like that. It is kind of a clean brake. This should be seen in the photos… If you need more photos, feel free to reach out. I was told that it most likely came out of a Lake 1800s early 1910s Hotel in South Florida Miami.. It has a really cool Gothic look.. Perfect for a repurpose project. Definitely a statement piece. Measurements are in the photos. I believe that the larger part would have been suspended from the ceiling so that you could see the fish.. Nice Leaded Slag Stained Glass Floral Lamp by Wilkinson Handel Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a really nice looking and early floral lamp by Wilkinson. The reason I say early is due to the use of curved glass in the shade, which was done earlier on. This pattern with the floral border is fairly common in Wilkinson, but the later versions have all flat glass. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, and from them you can see the multicolored floral apron with a brickwork upper part. This is a full sized and very impressive leaded floral lamp with a 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 24″ tall. Its in excellent, all original condition and appears to have been very well cared for in its over 120 year life! I see maybe 2 or 3 cracks here and there throughout the shade (which is itself pretty remarkable), and no repairs or replaced pieces. The use of bent glass and really thin lead lines attests to the quality of this maker and really adds to the beauty of the lamp. The base is super heavy and has a wonderful dark brass colored finish. It has all of its original hardware and has recently been rewired with period style cloth braided cord. Wilkinson made some really great lamps and because of the bent panels in this one, I’d say it is one of their better early floral ones. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine.
