Up for your consideration is a outstanding Antique Mythical dolphin Stained glass slag Hotel Chandelier lamp Very heavy.. Not exactly sure how this thing was mounted.. Obviously missing the chain and electrical ballast… It’s very heavy. Certainly a one of a kind piece. It’s wrapped with mythical dolphins or coy fish. It has paint loss.. I don’t see any cracks in the Stained glass. There is one place where the fish’s fins are supposed to come together, but it looks like it’s either missing or maybe it was meant to be like that. It is kind of a clean brake. This should be seen in the photos… If you need more photos, feel free to reach out. I was told that it most likely came out of a Lake 1800s early 1910s Hotel in South Florida Miami.. It has a really cool Gothic look.. Perfect for a repurpose project. Definitely a statement piece. Measurements are in the photos. I believe that the larger part would have been suspended from the ceiling so that you could see the fish.. Antique Vtg Arts Crafts Deco Table Desk Lamp COPPER For Slag Stained Glass Shade
Copper 1920′s Antique Lamp. This lovely lamp is a true 1920′s beauty. It is made of copper, wood and brass with a copper plated metal weighted base to make it weighted enough to hold a stained glass shade. It weighs 6.5 pounds. The brass Paulding pull chain sockets have been cleaned and tested and are working great. The copper has been lightly buffed to bring out the pretty details, while keeping the beautiful patina. No chips or cracks in the copper, the wood block at the base has some tiny dings on the edges which just add antique personality, and the brass socket covers have normal hairline splits in the brass that don’t affect the use and will be covered with your lamp shade (see closeups). The lamp uses 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light (bulbs not included). Width at edges of sockets: 5 3/4 (non-adjustable angle). Width at widest part of vase / urn: 5 1/2. Base: 4 1/2 square. Weighs 6 1/2 pounds. You’re going to LOVE it! Antique Torch And Floral Swag Motif Lamp Base, For Slag Stained Glass Shades
Please review all pictures for overall condition and size, as this forms the overall condition/description of the item. Wear is consistent with age and use. The cord was VERY worn and not safe to use, so we cut it. We kept the old plug for it and are including it (pictured). Pull chains are stuck, has scratches, marks, light rust, etc. The bottom has a cover welded or brazed on. Looks like it has been painted black possibly. The metal is either iron or spelter, possibly some brass/Bronze used in areas. It is hard to tell, we see some metallic color under the paint and we see brass/Bronze coloring. It also have very nice weight to it, heavier than it looks. Was possibly “Bronzed” at one point but got worn and then maybe someone painted it. Has some nice age, we believe early 1900s, around 1915. It is a great project lamp, it would look great restored. We believe the heavy Tiffany, Handel style slag/stained glass shades go to it. Measurements are in the photos/details. Haven’t found any names or makers marks on it. Please message us with any questions, we respond fast. Please allow up to 2/3 days for large items, though we do get those out faster than that a lot of the time.
Antique Arts Crafts Deco Table Lamp For Reverse Painted Slag Stained Glass Shade
Gorgeous Original Antique Lamp. Lovely RESTORED antique condition! Working well and freshly rewired with vintage style cloth cord and Bakelite plug. No maker’s marks on the lamp itself, but a catalog number 1735 on the bottom. Probably circa early 1900′s – the type of base typical for use with Tiffany style, reverse painted or slag glass shades. Nice, ornate cast design – poppy floral motif around the base and on the central column, alternating with cabbage leaves on top of the base and the top of the column. This is a heavy 5.5 pound well-made piece. Beautiful polished brass with the original antique bronze finish on the cast iron base. The brass sockets are made by Hubbell and have been cleaned, tested, rewired and are working well. Use the cap on the top of the lamp for holding a reverse painted shade with a hole from 2 5/8 inches up to 3 1/4 inches in diameter, or add any stained glass or slag glass shade on the finial post or a lovely fringed shade would look great! A beautiful piece of art and lighting history, restored and ready for a new life with you. The lamp uses 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts each (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light).
