Shade Has A Ribbed Spider That Was Cut At The Connector To Slide The Shade On and Off. Because Of This Securing The Shade Is Difficult But Doable. Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very nice prairie style lamp with a great arts & crafts look that I believe was done by R. But their quality is sure there. The shade is very well designed and uses a great mixture of glass. Its 20″ in diameter, 8″ deep and has a very nice rattle of a truly old shade. I see maybe 2 or 3 small hairlines but nothing serious and no replaced glass or repairs. I have seen and owned this base before and know for sure it at least is Williamson. Solid bronze with very nice details. 3-socekt cluster with matching Bryant sockets with their original. And satellite ended pull. It has been wired with period style black cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Very nice example of a. Style arts & crafts lamp on a high quality base by a higher end maker. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Antique early Arts and Crafts Mission Table Lamp Slag Glass Prairie tall
From an estate of a Victorian Lighting dealer. A good looking tall lamp designed during the arts and crafts movement. Unsigned as to Maker. Early arts and crafts leaded lamp – brass tone base, magnet wont stick. Constructed with amber caramel color slag glass with a deep brownish? Colored slag grass trim at both top and bottom of this unique shade. NOTE: as said this lamp has a unique feature in that it has 4 fitter receivers attached to the shades interior walls designed. To accommodate each of the lamp bases 4 arms. The overall height of lamp fully assembled is approx. 20.5 tall and weighs approx. The shade measures approx. 12 x 12 at the bottom and is 7.5 tall. The bulb socket has a working pull on / off bead chain ending with an attached acorn trim piece. Lamp was rewired sometime in its life utilizing I presume its old plug /. One of the fitter receivers attached to the shade is loose on one end, still supportive I presume if re-heated it will correct? Or need a a tad of. Lead to adhear or… Use it the way it is. A slag glass panel has a – tight – crack, see last photos. NOTE: I just mention above issues for accuracy, they are not noticeable at 1st glance or prove offensive. Williamson Arts & Crafts Prairie Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Shade Chandelier
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a wonderful arts & crafts prairie style chandelier. I believe it was made by Williamson, but as with most of these period shades it is really difficult to be sure. What I can say is it is a very early, all came leaded shade that uses fabulous granite backed glass. Its a huge shade as well, measuring 28 in diameter. The prairie style shape means it is only about 6 deep. Just a fabulous look! I will let my pictures do most of the talking here but will note that the shade is in excellent overall condition with no repairs or missing pieces. I see a couple of very small cracks in a few of the pieces, but nothing major or at all concerning. The shade has what looks like its original 3-arm cluster with BRYANT labeled mica turn keys. The chandelier has amazing thick hanging hooks and about 11 of solid bronze thick chain. The cast iron canopy measures 10 in diameter. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to hang in your home. This is an incredibly RARE hanger in wonderful original condition that lights up amazingly. It would make a statement in any room. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me.
