Gorgeous and in amazing antique condition – no cracks in the slag glass, no cracks in the soft metal framework, and all metal tabs holding glass in place are intact. You can turn on just the base, just the top, or both (see first photos). As with all older lamps, consider rewiring (though I see no fraying or hazard). Each of the 5 base glass panels is 4.5 across the bottom, 3 across the top, with a maximum base width of 6. Each of the 6 top glass panels is 4.25 across the bottom and 2. 5 across the top, with a maximum width of 8. Approx 13.5 tall (to top of brass finial). Please see photos and message with questions. Antique Victorian Era Lamp 24 Panel Slag Glass Two Socket Electric Light
Antique Victorian Era Lamp 24 Panel Slag Glass Two Socket Electric Light. This lamp will be carefully packed and insured. The shade will be packed separate from the base in a floating box. Condition: This beautiful victorian lamp is in great condition with one repaired panel, no chips or other cracks. There are a few split molded pieces of fine detail metal work over the lamp shade glass panels. The base has no dents or damage. The silver plating to the lamp body has wear and there is some light surface scratching consistent with age and use. The original cold painted detail has worn off in most places but remnants remain in the deep crevices. Dimensions: Lamp stands 26 inches tall, 19 inches wide across shade, 8 inches wide across bottom, body of lamp measures 6.5 inches wide by 11 inches tall. This stunning highly decorated victorian electric lamp is complete with its original finial, shade and matching base. The lamp has a tripod paw foot base decorated with a center shell out stretching ribbons and acanthus leaves draped over each leg. The body of the lamp is silver plated with a decoration of two winged mermaids holding up an overflowing basket in a ribbon cabochon. There are two mirrored cornucopia with mirrored burning candle sconces in each corner. This is repeated around the entire first tier of panels. Above the mermaid panels is a burning victory torch with a ribbon motif. The top row of panels is blown out to give a puffy look. Ribbon decoration adorns the top of the panel with ribboned wreathes in each corner. The finial is in the form of a tassel with a ribbon tied hanging but upside down. This very ornate and intricate lamp is not signed in any obvious place but could have a signature somewhere. Antique Slag Glass 12 Panel 2 Color Electric Table Lamp Marked MLC
This great panel lamp is deceiving. It is made to look like it has 24 panels. It actually has 12. The shade has 6 panels of textured amber glass. It also has 6 panels of smooth green glass. The shade has a stunning design. It is approx 7 1/2″ deep The diameter of the shade is 19 1/2″. All tabs are present and secured correctly. The base is marked MLC. The base has been recently rewired with a rayon cord with 2 pull chain sockets. The diameter of the base is 8 1/2. This is a massive, impressive lamp. I have shown photos of the lamp lit and unlit. It is all ready to go. This lamp and others I have listed came from the collection of an elderly gentleman. All sales are final. I might have the shade professionally boxed. The diameter is 17 1/2 – 18 3/4 (side to side /or corner to corner) All of the tabs to secure the glass are there. The base has 3 panels of amber glass. It has been recently rewired correctly with a rayon cord. The base has an on/off switch so you can light it separately. There are also 2 pull chain sockets so you can light the shade separately. Vintage Filigree Pink Slag Glass Electric Table Lamp Art Noveau Repaired 16
Okay, I may have taken some liberties with the category listings. I don’t know what metal it is, so I put spelter. It has a heavy base which is good to hold the glass shade up. I said Art Nouveau from the lovely heads on the base, and the color is old metal that looks like heavily tarnished silver to me. With that out of the way, the lamp is 16 tall approximately. My parents where antique collectors and Dad was a welder by trade from WWII. So the base is split diagonally and repaired. The top side piece of the shade is repaired above where there is missing filigree. I wasn’t sure of the terminology for see-through metal shade so I called it filigree. Lovely swirls and flowers on shade. The shade measures 5 1/2″ tall x 7″ across bottom side. Four sides, only one with damage. Pull switch, Dad must have replaced lightbulb holder and cord years ago, so if you wish, you can replace it too. It works for me. Long cord, I didn’t unravel it to measure. The base pedestal is approximately 8 without lightbulb holder. Base is 4 1/2 square. It has a little wobble to it, but a tiny furniture dot would probably fix that great. The top of the pedestal has heads in circle medallions, two look the same and the other two are both different from each other. The bottom 2/3 of pedestal is ornately decorated. Then, there are the l lovely faces on the base and one even has the cord coming out of it. I love the lamp, just don’t have a place for it now. Nice for a guest room bedside table, or nighttime accent lamp to give a little extra light. Right now, it’s got a standard bulb holder. The four pieces of slag glass are undamaged. I put a 40 w round bulb in for pictures (not included). I think it’s a little too much wattage. It got hot after 5 minutes. You will need a normal size screw light but shorter than a light bulb.
